That would be so punX. |
The new live album is kicking my ass so hard. It's so good that it makes me like Searching For A Former Clarity a little bit, because I understand how the songs fit in with the bands' music as a whole.
I know they're total hypocrites, but it's hard to stay mad at such a groovy bunch. |
What if at this MTV thing they announce how much they hate MTV and everything corporate and say that SFAFC was a big elaborate joke they were playing and go back to the basement.
|
then my life would be complete. ive always though about that and if a band would ever do it. i would.
|

That would really be the most awesome thing a band that I liked had ever done. Then they should rush on stage and start playing Ya'll don't wanna step to dis and Pints of Guinness make you strong. |
Haha that would be so sweet. Did this MTV thing happen yet?
|
I don't know actually. I don't have that channel.

it Was A Birrrrrrrrrrthiday Gift! Of A Mexican Telecaster! That From This Day On! I Will Play Along To All My Young Pioneers Records!

Someday, when we're in old-folks homes, we'll tell the young kids working there about how there used to be this glorious punk band that everyone loved, and how they erred in their ways and made totally lame and mediocre music.
|
And the young kids there will be wondering why we're talking about that lame old farts music still.
|
I would have sooo many orgasms if they did that on the MTV thing.
|

Haha, I'm soo going to do that :P |
I've been listening to a lot Against Me! as of late, i'm just in love with them after seeing them over the summer. I know they sold out, but i think there's no band that has the same passion as them. But anyway, i was thinking, a lot of the sets they've played lately have had the same dull setlist (Don't Lose Touch, Problems etc.) Does anyone else think they need to start spicing them up a bit more, you know, wheel out the big guns.
Anyone agree? |
Of course they do. However, I doubt they will.
|
Do They Owe Us A Living?
Of course they do! Of course they do!
|

They should play that more |
what is this mtv thing you kids were talking about?
|
i really dont get the selling out thing. it is kinda beyond me how this forums seems to go into these fads and when one bnd goes out of the same routine they get looked down upon. like i mean a small chnge isnt all that bad. besides Bad Religion went on to a major label for a while just to reach more people with there music.
|
And Bad Religion got a lot worse too IMO.
New Against Me! sucks. And looking at their old ideals makes them kind of hypocritical now. |

New Against Me! sucks. And looking at their old ideals makes them kind of hypocritical now.
New Against Me! doesn't suck, it just isn't as good as their old stuff. I think Even Out Our Worst We're Still Better Than Most is the best track off ...Clarity. |
Okay I will agree with you there...
New Against Me! doesn't suck (I fear that the upcomming album will) but in comparison with the older stuff, it is terrible. The ironic title "Even at our worst we're still better than most" kind of explains it all. |
hey they still put on a hell of a show. though they are right that Aganst Me!s setlist has gotten pretty crappy but bad religion had an awesome one.

I disagree. Last time i saw them, their setlist was terrible, and their show was miserable. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, though, and say it's probably because it was one of the last dates on the warped tour and they were probably wiped by then. |
Would be so kind as to put their live album on yousendit, so something like that.
Thanks in advance. |
I wouldn't even bother downloading it, it's really not worth listening to.
|
If we're talking about Americans Abroad...yeah, big let-down.
|
What is it that makes it so bad (I haven't listened to it)? The set list looks pretty good.
|
Compared to bootlegs from '03 or so it's horrible.
|
there just isnt that energy in it like i've come to expect from Against Me!. ive seen them live before and it was amazing, so much energy and intimate and stuff, but none of that is captured on the cd. the songs sound slow, too cleaned up, not like the old raw Against Me!
