My fav beatles album is probbaly Sgt.Peppers
|
Has anyone bought the Concert for George DVD/CD ? I saw it on TV, it was pretty awsome. Ringo, Paul, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, Ravi Shankar, and a bunch of others got together to do a George Harrison tribute concert.

From time to time that one is my favorite, right now Magical Mystery Tour is number one, whitch is a first. |
Right now my favorite is Abbey Road
|
The only song I can't stand on Let It Be is Dig It.
It's just....weird. Who knows what they say at the end when they do the high pitched voice. I thought they said "Now Georgy Worgy will do, All Things Must..." and it just cuts off there. Which leads me to believe that All Things Must Pass might have been on Let It Be, but didn't make the cut. But then again, I don't know. |

Agreed, I really enjoy listening to every song on the album. My favourite was Revolver and before that Sgt. Peppers for a while but I'm back into Abbey Road as my number one once again. |

But then again, I don't know.
Yes, there were a lot of things done during January 69 that wasn't recorded until later. All Things Must Pass being one of them, also several Abbey Road tunes (Octupus' Garden, Maxwell's, etc.). What really surprised me was listening to the bonus CD with Let it Be....Naked, there's this one part that John starts playing this one piano part that strikes me the moment the first chord hit....the opening chords to imagine. Two and a half years before the album was released. |
I really like Sgt. Peppers. I've also been listening to Abbey Road a lot, but I think Sgt. Peppers is still my favorite.
|
Call me crazy but "Revolution 9" is probably my most listined to song off the White Album.

NP: Revoltion 9 |
My favorite album currently is Magical Mystery Tour. But my favorite song currently is "Im Just Sleeping", it is such a good song. My favorite album for the longiest time was Revolver. But MMT and Rubber Soul have overtaken Revolver.

Is "Fly on the Wall" any good?
|
Not really, just sounds of the band recording and arranging things. John tells a few jokes and that's about it.
|
Did you guys read about (in the CD manual) how after the final chord on A Day In The Life, John wanted some high pitched noise in there? If you did, can you explain why?
|
Just to get more publicity for the album probably. Putting crazy myths around an album is a great way to increase album sales.

Yep....its hard to find, as there's no tracks on that CD. But on the song list in the back of the CD booklet you'll find a track titled 'John's piano piece', its 18 seconds long. Something little, but it blew my mind because I didn't even expect it, seeing how its my favorite song. |

cant get any beatles/lennon/wings/mccartney songs on itunes |
Hmm...that song isn't as unlikeable as people make it out to be, as I never skip it, which I do with songs which I just don't get, but I would never listen to it out of the context of the whole album, unlike a lot of songs on there which I listen to all the time, just skipping through tracks on my mp3 player. It's quite fun putting it on a CD player and watching people's reactions to it though.
When i was reading about all that "paul is dead" hoax stuff, i think it was Revolution 9 that had a backward message in it stating "turn me on dead man." That's why i always get creeped out when i listen to A day in the life and John sings "I'd love to turn you on"... |
the phrase "I'd love to turn you on" is a sexual innuendo and i think A day in the Life was one of the first songs to have "rude" phrases/words.....
(see beatles anthology.) |
I think the "I'd love to turn you on" was actually written by Paul and sung by John
