ANGUS YOUNG13 02-05-2005 04:34 PM

Are the dire straights just a one hit wonder, or do they have other songs besides my mtv. I know they have one other really famous song but do they have alot of other hits?

Illmatic 02-05-2005 04:37 PM

Hahahahaha...ANGUS YOUNG13, you are too much. You try to de-rep me and I lose exactly zero rep points.

rhcp_r_gods 02-05-2005 04:38 PM

The Dire Straits are a great band. Definitely not one hit wonders. Although they didn't get many actual "hits" on the charts, they wrote countless great songs and were great musicians.

I was this close(| |) to getting Festival Express, last night.

thickasabrick 02-05-2005 05:03 PM

I wanna buy it, but I absolutely have no money.

Here's where my money has gone lately(canadian dollars):

Going to Spain during Easter Break = $2500
New Marshall amp = $2800
Having to buy a new car soon = (haven't picked one out yet)

Plus I got a speeding ticket for $120 the other day, which ruined all I had left of my money.

Someone donate me Festival Express.

gmoneyguy 02-05-2005 05:06 PM

I was also torn between The Beatles U.S. tour, A hard days night DVD, and the Yellow Submarine DVD. I decide to save my money and not buy any of them(yet...).

thickasabrick 02-05-2005 05:08 PM

What's A Hard Days Night all about? I have the record for it, but I've never actually seen it.

I meant the Documentary DVD, not the movie.

thickasabrick 02-05-2005 05:18 PM

Oh ok. But it was a movie right? I'm not just imagining that?

And I teach guitar, so I make a lot of money.

gmoneyguy 02-05-2005 05:19 PM

Ya it was a movie.

thickasabrick 02-05-2005 05:30 PM

so is the Yellow Submarine DVD a documentary as well, or a movie?

PinkFreud 02-05-2005 05:36 PM
so is the Yellow Submarine DVD a documentary as well, or a movie?
its an animated movie. i found it quite entertaining the first time, but then again, i was high. its still a pretty amusing movie.

thickasabrick 02-05-2005 05:40 PM

So does it have any sort of a plot (Pink Submarine) or is it just a bunch of nonsense? Either way, I wanna see it.

Broken Arrow 02-05-2005 06:14 PM

Spain sounds fun.........*sighs*

Illmatic 02-05-2005 06:16 PM

Actually, from what I heard, Spain is a hellhole.

theres a plot but it kind of just acts as a vehicle for the music. the animation is quite awesome though.

nothingtolose 02-05-2005 06:19 PM

Maybe I should check it out...

I still love the Quadrophenia movie though.

Illmatic 02-05-2005 06:21 PM
