*begins rocking out*

Dead Star 08-15-2005 05:06 PM

It's a .rar file.

The gayest file type ever.

Understanding In a Crash 08-15-2005 05:08 PM

Yeah agreed, its annoying... .doc owns all... so goes gif.

ChodaBoy 08-15-2005 05:10 PM

Whats wrong with Rar? It means you dont have to download each song individually

Dead Star 08-15-2005 05:10 PM

.ZIP is where its at.

ChodaBoy 08-15-2005 05:12 PM

Even though its virtually the same...

Dead Star 08-15-2005 05:13 PM

And I don't have winRAR.....

ChodaBoy 08-15-2005 05:16 PM

Cheers Adam.

poprocks&coke 08-15-2005 05:23 PM
There greenyyellow, duh.
As a tennis player, I proclaim Butler the winner of this argument, but they are more yellow than green, its like neon yellow/green. yep. And they used to be white, random trivia fact.

ChodaBoy 08-15-2005 05:30 PM

To work Rar, you just right-click the file, click Extract files... and then pick a place. Simple as

As a person who is almost definatly going to get himself in a profession of art, i do proclame myself right. Id name the actual colour, but im stupid.

pop-punk/alternative.

Honestly, i dont think you would like them, but you should listen anyway.

TMA 08-15-2005 05:58 PM

Coheed And Cambria are a tiny bit of pop-punk, a little bit of... I wanna say Emo/Post-Hardcore, but mostly, they're a progressive band with random influences thrown in everywhere.

Gnarmageddon 08-15-2005 06:02 PM

Co&Ca has grown on me a lot in the past month or so.

Meh...
Progressive Emo is the closest you'll probably get. The fact that they just thrown in various different styles of rock is was draws them closer to being Alternative.
Anybody who even tries to tell me that they aren't progressive, is retarded and needs to f*cking die.

That's fine, I'll tell you they aren't emo though. I don't hear hardcore influences in the music really, more post-hardcore. And the vocals are better than any emo band.

hey, you're not cory! 08-15-2005 06:52 PM

I consider them metal influenced progressive emo really.

I had a bad day today. It was not fun.

Yeah, but it isn't the vocals or the lyrics that makes an Emo band Emo.
It's the level of emotion put in to how the band is playing. It's how the way they feel is reflected in the music itself, and not by the way they look and act or by the words they say.
After seeing them live twice, I will say, I think they do have a bit of an Emo feel to them. They're not just up there playing the song, they're up there letting everything about themselves out through the music.

No its not.

All of the Fourfa BS is right. Emo, when it started in the 80s was more or less just hardcore music with emotional lyrics. But its since evolved into the poppier stuff you hear today (from Thursday to Taking Back Sunday) because they have the emotional lyrics and still retain some (though maybe in some cases slight) hardcore influences. And Chris will disagree with me but thats just cause hes stubborn.

Thus emo = emotional lyrics and some hardcore influences.

thomas is fast 08-15-2005 07:03 PM

I guess I'm techincally an emo kid now...

I'm complaining because my girlfriend dumped me :upset:

I didn't see that coming...

Never do...
And it doesn't really make you an Emo kid.
Once you start listening to music and going "*sniff sniff* That's what I fell right now!" and you spend the next +2 months wondering what went wrong and trying to fix it, THEN you'll be an Emo kid.

Tjebby 08-15-2005 07:07 PM
