I have Bridge over Troubled Water, Electric Music for the Mind and Body, Abraxas, Strange Days and Blonde on Blonde in my record collection and they are all in my opinion great recordings, It was hard to obtain Electric Music for the Mind and Body initially but I got it imported from overseas eventually.
I found it available at a local record store for 13$, and also on Amazon.com for a similar price.

Ringo and George were both really drunk when the wrote Badge.

JPJ can you send me Space Wrangler sometime? And Livewired, could I get Abraxes sometime?

I'm pretty sure Harrison plays the echoey riff at 1:07, but I'm not sure about rhythm guitar. It's possible though. In fact, I'll look it up now.

EDIT: No luck yet, but this site is worth a look. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Harrison

lunch998 04-23-2005 05:13 PM

I don't own it, yet. Sorry guys. When I found it I had no money, but when I get it I will post/trade it.

That's a cool site. I remember when he died, none of my other friends even knew who he was. I was pretty sad.

Those are awesome, I really like Hendrix #3 and Janis Joplin.

There's a kiosk in my local mall that has the amazing pictures drawn in chalk pastels. There's a great Hendrix one and a really good Jerry Garcia one.

Thanks for warning me. I may have bought that album sometime. Can anyone else varify how bad this album is? I know someone else around here has it, and they never mentioned it being bad.

Most stuff from that era is regrettable.

I can testify to its badness. I listened to it on xsao awhile back.

Pointless Story.

So last night, me and some friends were sitting in my car listening to the radio (waiting for our dealer). Out of the blue, my friend is like "Janis Joplins hot." Needless to say, everyone in the car turns and stares at him. After a few moments silence he's like "Well I think so at least, I saw a video of her singing White Rabbit."

We all let out a sigh of relief. (he meant Grace Slick, not Janis Joplin)

Grace is very hot. Janis owned at singing, but she wasn't so attractive.

I just got Electric Music for the Mind and Body and Sweetheart of the Rodeo.

Yeah, Grace Slick is sexy. Plus she had sex with Jim Morrison, which gives her instant sex appeal too

Benefit the Tull album? Nice choice! Robert Randolph kicks ass, hows the CD?

Walrus Gumboot 04-23-2005 06:49 PM

I'm going to Canadia, talk to you in a week or so I guess :D

Yea, the Tull album, and the Randolph CD is amazing. He's opening for DMB, and I'd go if tickets weren't so expensive.

I'd consider going if I like DMB, but I really don't. They're like lame popular excuse for a Jam band.

That sucks. It's nice here...no snow at all. It's been in the 10-20 range for the past week or so, except it's been windy. I love Spring.

(Come to Regina, I'll take you on some crazy adventures)

I think she may have typed Canadia as a joke. Because I always say Canadia jokingly.

We're supposed to get 2-4 inches of snow tonight and 2-4 more tomorrow.

Well if you drive through a small town called Kincardine and you see a kid with a dark blond afro dont be afraid to ask him if he wants to hit a session.

thickasabrick 04-23-2005 07:06 PM

Spelling it Canadia isn't too bad. On my profile, I accidently spelled it Canadada or something like that.

I remember in music class in grade 9 we watched a Dave Mathews Band concert on tape. It wasn't bad, although I didn't know any of the songs.

So JPJ just sent me a JPJ solo album and so far is pretty good.
