That's pretty much what happened here. The person we had as the singer in my old band (me on bass, same kid on drums, som fag i ahte on guitar) had his pen1s removed seconds before we went on stage and didnt sing, so that sucked, and nobody else really wanted to sing. So now we dont really sing that much in this band, but the songs we did write and we dont improvise have me singing. I really want to take this band seriously, so i can use this idea i had to write a 5 song EP about the 5 stages of Grief (Denial / anger / pleading / depression / acceptance). And me and the drummer thought of the best EP name ever, which I have said before in this thread: "I Wish I Had a Million Gazelle So I Could Feed My Million Lions".

thats awesome, i like it, especially the EP idea. I love writing so much, ive been working on a concept album with one band, its acutally really hard, a lot harder than i thought it would be, but i like the challenge, and theres so much you can do, and so mnay options for your story line.

If I had to write a storyline, it would be extremely open ended. Take [i]Frances The Mute[/i] for example: Nobody really knows what its about, but it covers so many topics and ideas, but people somehow still agree there are characters in it.

That guitar player i called a fag tried writing a concept album. It was terrible. He made everything so literal, and it was about something corny like ghost in outer space.

My concept album would be about sheep.

And guys in kilts.

haha yeah, mine has like greek mythology related stuff, and just things in history like, the holocaust and stuff, but i made it like, my own type of story with twists and stuff, im not very far, i only have about 6 songs.

But what im amazed with most, is the Boys night out trainwreck album. When you try and right concept it ends up you just describe a story like word for word in every detail, and it just sounds cheesy and boring. But boys night out did that somehow but made it amazing, i have no idea how they did it, everytime i listen to trainwreck, i just get blown away on how good they did on that album.

i get most of mine from coheed and cambria, the hardest thing though, is keeping it running smoothly without it being too jumpy or too straight forward. The key is leaving in parts so that the listener has to think about whats going on, perfect imagery in a concept album ruins it for me <_<
