ChodaBoy 04-26-2005 02:40 PM

Spectrum 04-26-2005 02:43 PM

I was trying to keep my eyes open as I also tried to engage in conversation about "Death of a Salesman", which I hadn't actually read.

Hmmpf.

ChodaBoy 04-26-2005 02:45 PM

Spectrum 04-26-2005 02:46 PM

ChodaBoy 04-26-2005 03:28 PM

Adam Jones is GOD 04-26-2005 03:37 PM

Neb is my name on the flipside.

Neb would be an awesome name for my first born Irish son

Spectrum 04-26-2005 06:59 PM

AJiG is really Ben. He was just being clever.

My name is Mike, though there are those who call me... Friday?

EDIT: First post of the day.

Spectrum 04-27-2005 07:11 AM

Have you ever had one of those days where you're not really motivated to do much of anything?

NP: Radiohead - Pyramid Song

Hmm... maybe because I'm running through various songs from Kid A and Amnesiac... and I tend to hit songs like "How to Disappear Completely" and "Idioteque"...

EDIT: First post of the American day

Adam Jones is GOD 04-27-2005 07:12 AM

Put on some Opeth - Still Life and you'll be fine

The lyrics if anyrthing are uplifitng. Due to the fact that they're so awesome.

Spectrum 04-27-2005 07:14 AM

Hey, Ben. What's up? Any luck with Job interveiws? How are you holding up against the Sexytaries?

Spectrum 04-27-2005 07:18 AM

I have also decided, since Ben is the Green Ranger(/White Ranger?), and he's the "loner", he has to complete this job-finding quest as part of his story arc! And the Sexytaries are vicious, harpy foes that he has to somehow defeat to gain a Job to become a powerful ally to his friends and fellow Proletariat!

...

NP: You and Whose Army?

I feel better now.

Adam Jones is GOD 04-27-2005 07:19 AM

Had another interview today. The guy who interviewd me (and who would be my boss, fingers crossed) seems like a nerd, which would be great.

And the sexytary there was my age too. I NEED THIS JOB.

My suit looks awesome as well. I got so many looks of a non disgusted nature

Spectrum 04-27-2005 07:22 AM

Hmm... plot advancement... well, Ben, I pledge my assistance as a fellow Nerd and Brewer Ranger, in any way I can. If someone asks, I'll put in a good word. I really hope you land this one. What exactly was it, anyway?

Oh, and that last line is absolutely classic.

Adam Jones is GOD 04-27-2005 07:27 AM

This one was an office junior job...(boring) at a Computer advise branch of a company. They give advice to the other areas of their compnay, as well as their various partners. The job involves me giving out basic advice to real life n00bs, while learning more technical things (sever matinence, hardware/software tinkering).

The test they gave me was horrible though. From questions like 'What email package comes with Windows', to 'What job does a 'switch' in a network carry out?', then the killer 'What does ADST stand for and for what purpose does it apply to?'

Hopefully, that was just as a guideline.

Spectrum 04-27-2005 07:28 AM

Well, I still wish you luck and job-snagging.

I think you might appreciate this here link. If I know you like I think I do, you'll find this funny.

HELL YES!
:smoke:
Everyday off I've had this year I've went to play snooker, followed by golf.
I like watching it too, but to be honest, I prefer playing it.
Have you been watching it on BBC2 recently?

/Me was suprised with the Ali-O'Sullivan match...

(For the edit of postcount decreasing, I'm going to edit stuff into this post ;) )
Yeah, I've been watching it quite a bit. I enjoy it far too much :-/

I like playing it as well, but I don't have that many opportunities to..actually, I'm really rather annoyed at my dad in that respect. See, he bought a new house, and because he was paying cash and was willing to pay right there and then (the guy who was selling was getting divorced, and so screwed over by his wife), the seller threw in the carpets, curtains, a big old television (well..it wouldn't have fit in the place he was moving to), a bar (ditto), and a full size snooker table. Pretty cool, yeah?

Well my dad's intent on remodelling the house, which is fair enough, as some bits of it were too small and crap. But he's sold the snooker table, and just completely gotten rid of the bar :( They were the two best parts :(

Adam Jones is GOD 04-27-2005 11:28 AM

Dads. When will they learn?

Unless he's planning on putting some sort of alternative gentlemans club in there, that sucks.

Is there no snooker club near your home/uni area? I've not seen a place without one yet.

Bartender 04-27-2005 11:32 AM
Dads. When will they learn?

I think he's planning on turning what was one of the living rooms into an exercise room, but that's all. The room that contained the snooker table is just gone, chopped up into three different bits - a smaller study/living room, a little porch/utility room bit, and one end of the kitchen. Where the bar was isn't even accessible any more, it's inside a wall which defines all these different rooms.
Is there no snooker club near your home/uni area? I've not seen a place without one yet.
Near home there's a pool club called Hustlers, but it's crap. I have to travel a fair way to get there, and it's always full (full of people I don't know/like, as well). Around uni, I've no idea. I haven't gotten that familiar with the city while I've been here.

My dad doesn't even own any pubs any more, so I can't play pool in there. So BBC2 it is, for now.
