What do u guys think the new album will sound like? U think another anger = ( , or a good old skool album = D ?

Huber 06-13-2005 05:31 PM

Neither. It'll be something different. People will bitch about it and label it soemthing like Nu-Metal to make it look bad so they can have a reason to hate it, when in reality, it'll probably be a fine piece of music. Just different. The chances of them doing what they did in the 80s is very slim.

I accually know a guy who quite often speaks to the members of Dream Theatre and Metallica... He is the singer in a band called Beatallica.. He speaks to Lars mainly...

Well, the new album is set to be a tad heavier than the previous album, and have more of a tight solid sound to it... As far as I know terrorists did sieze and destroy Lars's piccolo snare drum, so it is unlikely that will be a part of the next album. It really depends on the Negotiations :thumb:

RustedPieces 06-13-2005 05:33 PM

Lars said that he doesn't want to do another Master of Puppets because thats when he lost his virginity, and i guess he finds it embarassing or something.

What do u think the chances are in Tallica realeasn an old skool album?

Huber 06-13-2005 05:39 PM

That's cool. I imagine there cool guys.

eXecrate666 06-13-2005 05:41 PM

And also do u think that Rob being the new bassists will play a role in the recording at all? idk just a thought but what if maybe he likes the old stuff better and maybe, just maybe he kind of wakes metallica up and make them go back to their roots

LarsAgi007 06-13-2005 05:45 PM

I know this new album is more old skool than previous releases, but they will never do another Kill Em all, or RTL ect: Once an album is done.. It has been done. They always changing sounds as you know... But as I say this album is going to be along the old skool lines yes... (Almost I would say)

And yes, Rob being the new bassist will almost definatly have a large impact on Metallica, Just put their previous bassists in order, and look at how much the CD's have varied with one bassist to another...

**Is off to bed**

p.s, I may try and talk him into giving me more Metallica goss :thumb:
Lars said that he doesn't want to do another Master of Puppets because thats when he lost his virginity, and i guess he finds it embarassing or something.
i think lars was acutally referring to what fans want, as to what they got with st anger  if that made sense

it was something like

'oh i want another master of puppets album cos i lost my virginity to master od puppets and i dont want it to change'

like he was speaking from a fans point of view.

i think the interview is part of the maytallica interviews from 2004 on the evil metallica website

thanks chaps

during master of puppets?

I would've thought that they all lost it after RTL or maybe even after KEA tour

hammet_ownz 06-13-2005 06:30 PM

yeah i sure dont imagine him taking a girl out for ice cream after a show at the stone or something 1984

lol. that was a kinda spontaneous thing to say

that's a preety dumb excuse,.
or maybe he lost his virginity with a man  .

FlyingPaul_83 06-13-2005 06:33 PM

I bet james, dave, kirk, and cliff all lost theirs way before MOP.

Endless Obsession 06-13-2005 06:35 PM

Or its obviously not true, do u know how many people Metallica was sleeping with at those times. They are pimps.

hammet_ownz 06-13-2005 06:44 PM

they sure are, and still are in lars's case lol. metal pimp.

did you hear on the SKOM bonus features how he met his wife?

he said, hi, i am a world famous rock star, can i buy you a drink?

lol. what id do to be able to say that.

*feels inadequate*

but that doesn't work so well, i mean he's divorced now.

Trivium 06-13-2005 07:20 PM
Sometime next year I think their next album is coming out.
you guys think it'll be their last?

Im praying for a revisit to their early days, then they do a massive world tour, make a few hundred million bucks, and disappear.

FlyingPaul_83 06-13-2005 07:21 PM

I hope they make at least 2 more great intense metal albums, then I'll be happy

RustedPieces 06-13-2005 07:25 PM

I just want them to end there career on a good album. If they ended it now everyone would remember them as 'that crappy band that sold out'

EVERYONE but i, i will remember them by the dudes who made kill 'em all and Ride the lightning, one of the most important albums in metal history.
EVERYONE but i, i will remember them by the dudes who made kill 'em all and Ride the lightning, one of the most important albums in metal history.
Well yeah. All of the REAL fans will know how good they were but it gets me mad that everyone can't see that.

heavy metal kid 06-13-2005 07:35 PM
Well yeah. All of the REAL fans will know how good they were but it gets me mad that everyone can't see that.
fans of metal, not only metallica fans.
i would like if they put another kea album type, you know all heavy and fast, with good solos, including bass solos(junglescence).

eXecrate666 06-13-2005 08:34 PM

WE would all love another kill em all, but the fact is that it wont happen, sure maybe itll get close 2 some old skool stuff maybe but i highly doubt that metallica would do a kea or rtl again. i wish they would though

Chu 06-13-2005 10:20 PM

I would absolutely love an instrumental album from Metallica, I've been thinking of it heaps recently, with Rob they could write an Orion II so well. Since james can't sing for **** now, an instrumental album could be cool.

FlyingPaul_83 06-13-2005 10:29 PM

if they did another instrumental. That would be incredible.

Endless Obsession 06-13-2005 10:42 PM
if they did another instrumental. That would be incredible.
Unless it wasnt incredible.

Huber 06-13-2005 10:46 PM

I'd cry, whether it was a good instrumental or bad.

FlyingPaul_83 06-13-2005 10:49 PM

yeah, then it would just suck. I think it will have a sound that people were expecting after the black album.(the new album)

me and R. Blythe have the same post count :thumb:
