Man Cream rules. I just watched Strange Brew and I had to rock out on my guitar after that. Its addicting.

thickasabrick 02-03-2005 09:22 PM

Strange Brew like the MacKenzie brother's movie? Or some sort of DVD thing?

I saw that at Wal-Mart and I'm wondering if it was worth buying because it looked really short.
It has Entwhistle on it? Tell me more about this album.
its govt mule after their bassist died so they did two albums with a bunch of guest bassists. on the first album, entwistle guest plays as well as flea, larry graham, and some others. on the second one theres billy cox, jefferson airplane bassist (his name slipped my mind dammit), les claypool and jason newstead among others. in my opinion, the first is betteer in terms of song selection.

to_hell_we_ride 02-03-2005 09:33 PM

Cream is one of my favorite bands. I just noticed the lyrics in "Anyone for Tennis" and it kind of made the song even more amazing.
to lunch

I rep you if the site ever let me. I think i cant rep you within 5 months of doing so already...pathetic

Nice signature, classic line

still dont think Tommys that great of an album though, and it really pisses me off that the CD version they sell now is all on one disc of alot of songs. I really really wanted two, its a frikkin double album. But the industry still manages to charge just as much for one disc...go figure
why would you want it to be two discs, then you have to carry around two discs every time yuo want to listen to all of a tommy, and it is cheaper than a double disc album, for example The Wall is around $35, while Tommy is only around $14.

Forgive me for what? I don't wanna be a jackass, but a lot of your posts are very incoherent. I have trouble understanding some of the stuff you are trying to say. Just take the extra two seconds to use correct punctuation, and read your post over before you submit it. We get a lot of people in this thread, who act like n00bs, but are just joking. I said "he spelled Led Zeppelin right, he must be serious." So how am I wrong? You spelled it right, and you were serious, nothing about that post was wrong.

Against Miik! 02-03-2005 10:02 PM

My schools talent show was really cool this year. The school show choir kinda deal opened with "Pinball Wizard", A kid played "Mood For A Day" by humself, and another band played "I Heard It Thru The Grapevine". There were some other cool non-classic rock songs like "I wish I knew how it would feel to be free", "Tribute", and "Offiver Krupke" from Westside Story.

ANGUS YOUNG13 02-03-2005 10:03 PM

offiver krupke hahah i love westside story

Against Miik! 02-03-2005 10:04 PM

I said offiver...:upset:

Badmoon 02-03-2005 10:05 PM

^Awesome :thumb: Everyone in my school plays Emo songs. :( However, one kid I know wanted to cover "My Favorite Things". Which would have been insane.

thickasabrick 02-03-2005 10:06 PM

That sounds like a cool talent show.

I'm assuming it's supposed to say Officer. I've never seen Westside Story.

I'm still deciding what I will play (if anything) at my schools talent show. I wanna do something really psychadelic, but I'm having trouble finding bandmates. Everyone wants to play Metallica.

ANGUS YOUNG13 02-03-2005 10:13 PM

at my shcool every one always plays emo it sounds ok until the volcals kick in then i just left but some kid did a cover of run for the hills its was pretty good for a solo act

You are a ba$tard, leave this thread. you know nothing of classic rock as proven by your nonsense post in the Angus Young thread

ANGUS YOUNG13 02-03-2005 10:15 PM

do u guys have to pay to get into the talent shows at your schools

thickasabrick 02-03-2005 10:16 PM

He just sang it? Or just played an instrument? Or both?

edit- we have to make a donation, i usually just give a couple bucks...although some of my friends give like a quarter.

And notice how I fixed up your post? Try to type more like that, I can't read run on sentences.

ANGUS YOUNG13 02-03-2005 10:21 PM

He sang it and a very little guitar acoustic. Man in our talent shows we pay 10.00 dollars but some of the teachers do stuff too my history teacher did a cover of no one like you, scorpions, just sang though no instruments
do u guys have to pay to get into the talent shows at your schools
We don't have talent shows, though we have coffee houses, and you do, but I always play so I get in free.

RockAndRoll 02-03-2005 11:36 PM

has anyone heard the googoo dolls cover of give a little bit?

ArcLite 02-04-2005 12:06 AM
has anyone heard the googoo dolls cover of give a little bit?
Yes, the original by Supertramp is much better.

RockAndRoll 02-04-2005 01:03 AM

it was virtually the same as the original from what I heard.

ArcLite 02-04-2005 01:04 AM

Yeah, it wasn't a bad cover by any means, I mean they didn't rape the original. But between the two I'd rather listen to the original. That's just me.
