****ing awesome. if i come over to north america ima gonna get me a bunch of shirts
not many metal distros in australia huh?

rasputin 08-12-2009 08:12 AM

i can order **** from EU and US but it takes ages and the shipping costs a bit. i have one shirt which i ordered last year but im just gonna buy a whole bunch in one go when i come to get around the shipping.

masscows 08-12-2009 08:13 AM

haha good plan. where in NA are you visiting?

rasputin 08-12-2009 08:14 AM

well im applying for exchange to canada, my first preference is kingston, ontario, my second is ottawa. probably will venture down into the states for a holiday as well.

HighandDriving 08-12-2009 08:17 AM

Why Kingston?

rasputin 08-12-2009 08:20 AM

queen's university in kingston is partners with my university, plus it was one of few universities i could find with interesting units which actually contribute to my degree

HighandDriving 08-12-2009 08:27 AM

That's cool, Canada is a pretty chill place so I'm sure you'll enjoy it here, minus the winter.

rasputin 08-12-2009 08:35 AM

yeah im looking forward to it. i like colder climates anyway, so it's win/win for me.

Tyler 08-12-2009 11:55 AM

Just be prepared to buy bus passes because Kingston ****ing sucks unless you're one of those kids who live/die University or an elderly woman.

HighandDriving 08-12-2009 12:01 PM

Kingston's not that bad but Ottawa would def be better.

Tyler 08-12-2009 12:06 PM

The university in Kingston (Queen's?) is pretty good but idk, it's too isolated and characterless for me. But you get surprisingly alright shows out there so it isn't all bad.

hismajestythepope 08-12-2009 02:22 PM

College is DM?

Tyler 08-12-2009 02:34 PM

no but university is

hismajestythepope 08-12-2009 02:43 PM

Ah, if we're discussing Uni, I have a swimming class this semester. Mad psyched.

rasputin 08-12-2009 06:48 PM

yeah i'm aware it's a smallish town, but the uni is fantastic. close to both toronto and new york is a plus, and now that you've told me there are good shows, i'm not that fussed. the reason i chose kingston over ottawa is because the uni is a bit better, and because kingston really seems like a university town, so there would be heaps of student **** going on.

yep, it came out earlier this month, on the 4th. the first pressing is 1000 copies, and can be ordered here: http://www.nwnprod.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=5593

strongly recommend this to all death metal fans.

Nostalgia 08-13-2009 03:06 AM

yeah dude, its a sweet album. the beginning lyrics to Taste the Dying are so awesome:

What is this being which carries me
Through her eyes is cast a cemetary
Amid the corpses awake we lie
Not yet born already I die
Why must I be thrust into this hell
To taste the dying
To die myself

Yes. Killer band. Would recommend to any Incantation/Immolation fan.

DBlitz 08-13-2009 08:10 AM

i like Path Of Attrition better

both are worth a listen though

rasputin 08-13-2009 08:13 AM

just looking up some vinyl to get because i finally got a new record player, might get path of attrition anyway

Jotun35 08-13-2009 08:31 AM

I've added "Prodigal Sun" by Afflicted to the database. If you like Atheist and swedish death metal, you should check this album, it's very original, interesting and brings some fresh air to the genre.
Unfortunately, this band have drowning into oblivion.
