Question about tallica: Are they finished? If ther're not when's their next tour?
Nah they're not finished. they should be bringing out a new album next year.

DaveTheAmazing 2.0 11-08-2005 11:46 AM

The day they throw in the towel is the day I commit suicide.

Six Foot Revolver 11-08-2005 11:51 AM

Chances are a tour will be done after the new album to answer your other question.

Jev 11-08-2005 11:53 AM

When I go to see them next tour I won't headbang as hard. That way I'll remember more.

TheSlayer 11-08-2005 11:59 AM

lol. For some songs it's just hard not too.

Jev 11-08-2005 12:09 PM

Yeah but the first time I went to see them I headbanged so much I forgot most of it.

lightningmetal666 11-08-2005 12:46 PM
Yeah but the first time I went to see them I headbanged so much I forgot most of it.
Yeah, I've done that with some local hardcore bands but was kinda glad I forgot about it later. I was a little :smash: when I saw them.
Hmm... well, Rob isn't a very good bassist, for one. And he plays his bass CROUCHING. What kind of dude plays his bass crouching down?
Just thought I would bring up this point again. Me and my mate were talking about Rob in our business lesson. Firstly he is an excellent bassist, I mean just by watching him play Battery with his fingers i was like

And as for the crouching thing, I love it. His always does these weird dances and stuff, like when he jumps on his bed when listening to Invisible Kid on the SKOM DVD. That is just pure coolness. No questions. The only thing I miss about Jason is his backing vocals, but still I would pick Rob over Jason, I really hope he has a big influence on the next album.

Jason was awesome as far as stage presence and humor goes. I think if rob kinda steps up and gets a little more crazy, ppl will accept him more. I've seen videos of him with Ozzy and he can act pretty nutty, especially when he's playing with Zakk Wylde.

Now that he's with Metallica, he's in new surroundings and I think that's why he's a little antisocial (if you will).

Jev 11-08-2005 01:45 PM

Jason just didn't seem to fit for me. I didn't like him much.

Rob is awesome!
un deux trois quatre cinq six sept.
uno dos tres quatro cinco sies siete? thas better...
no, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 works
Question about tallica: Are they finished? If ther're not when's their next tour?
No where near. Believe me if they were done they would not have given Rob $1,000,000 in advance
Jason finger picked aswell.
When was this? It was always a pick live.

Just don't get drunk, you'll be fine.

Aw3someman 11-08-2005 01:57 PM

who cares? as long as he's a good bassist and doesn't ruin the songs. i don't care. I would be more interested in watching hammet and hetfield anyway. screw the drums and bass j/k but i would rather watch hammet and hetfielld

Rob's bass solos are pretty cool... Except yea, I do like Kirk and James just fooling around doing different harmony riffs and etc

Speaking of harmony riffs, NP- Creeping Death

I would never ever get drunk at a Metallica gig.
Unless the beer was free.

You'd have to be in the pit pre-rehab

The bass solo at Download 2004 is ace. Pure wholesome goodness of meaty bass sound. Funky and heavy :thumb:

Agreed. Junglescene man, great stuff. Speaking of concerts and etc, they haven't updated the Vault yet. I can't wait for more stuff. I'm at 1901 songs in my media player and 309 are Metallica and it'll be 2,000 and 400 when they update it :D

edit: more numbers, 36 away from 6,000

I didn't think the fault was still going. Isn't that the one where you get a code with st anger. I have the album but never got the code. :upset:

Joe 11-08-2005 02:16 PM

livemetallica.com --> the vault --> make up a login name --> download the four concerts dating back to '85 in there now

Yea, I have one 85 show where the quality is awful but I have another one where it's really good. I have an 89 show that's pretty awesome too.

Aw3someman 11-08-2005 03:06 PM

the 89 show has the MoP solo... CELEBRATE

Joe 11-08-2005 03:13 PM

Yea, that's awesome. I'm listening to To Live Is To Die from that show. It's pretty cool. There we go, I was waiting for the guitar

Just got the 1994 show, and its pretty good quality, not happy about Jason singing all of Seek and Destroy though. It still a great song.

I think the... 2nd disc of Live Sh*t has Jason singing that whole song. I like it, not all of it though.

NP Fade to Black MIAWTW Tour :D

metalmilitia101 11-08-2005 09:45 PM

i love jason's image. he is like the coolest looking rocker ever. i know i've said this before though, so i won't go on haha.

have any of you guys thought that kirk is a little off rhythym on his solos on the cunning stunts dvd? mostly on the song one i think

Same here, I bought it the first day it came out (sadly) and I heard there was supposed to be a code to come along with the cd. I ripped the entire cd case apart and found nothing. I was pretty mad at the time, but I couldn't care less now.
on there site they said they were bringing it out in this decade so yer
(i wonder, will it be a new type of music there doing) i hope they do thrash metal like it was in the early days(IMO they ruled it)
I so agree. Maybe if they keep the Drop C tuning and play some stuff like KEA and RTL, I reckon that would be sweet and Metallica would be the kings of metal again. \m/

Jev 11-09-2005 01:55 AM

Drop C evil.

I love standard tuning.

DaveTheAmazing 2.0 11-09-2005 02:04 AM

I'll die if i let go, control is love, love is control do doodo

.:Thrasher:. 11-09-2005 03:18 AM

^okay
anyway i hope there new album has solo's (not like st anger)

bringbacktheshred 11-09-2005 03:24 AM

Yeah, solos would be absolutely awesome. I still want to hear some low(ish) tunigs and lightning fast riffs, Metallica Style!

.:Thrasher:. 11-09-2005 03:46 AM
Yeah, solos would be absolutely awesome. I still want to hear some low(ish) tunigs and lightning fast riffs, Metallica Style!
agreed
i would sell my soul for them to do cold hard thrash metal:D

bringbacktheshred 11-09-2005 03:58 AM

I wouldn't go that far, but I sure would kill for it.

Back to the Glory Days!!!!!

mr black 11-09-2005 03:59 AM

They did haha, then they decided they'd make some money, who knows, mabye their next album will return to their roots, be standard tuning thrash, because that would rule.

Also a good idea.

Either way, I would be in heaven.
