I love Tool fans dude.

:shifty:

But no, i had to go in today to confirm my A-Levels.

Kingofdudes 08-31-2005 07:41 AM

I hear my neighborhood is looking as good as it could be for being hit by a hurricane, so im not too worried about that anymore. But we dont have any electricity or running water there, so we cant return home for a while.

What sucks is that our economy has been crippled in Mississippi. The Casinos where the only thing keeping Mississippi going, but now they are all gone. People think that rising gas prices are gonna suck, but down here we have absolutely nothing. The next few weeks/months are gonna be hard.

edit: to ken

What grades did you get at AS + what are you taking next yr?

Have you started looking at unis?

Arucard 08-31-2005 07:42 AM

Btw Peer/Ken, can we copy punk and do a 'Worst Metal Bands Ever' poll?

Clearvision : I mean AS, i only just did my GCSE's.

SonorKen 08-31-2005 07:44 AM

Yea, it pisses me off when I see people bitching about the gas prices. So what if ya have to pay an extra 50 bucks a month to drive around, you didn't lose everything you own.

And our petrol is probably about 2/3 times as expensive anyway.

NJMetalMeister 08-31-2005 07:50 AM
Wow, Ken appears out of nowhere. Haven't seen you for a while dude. In other news, the Tool drummer is dead, because Jelle killed him with a bat.
And just like shake and bake, I helped.

Beside, gas is still much cheaper here in the US than in europe.

I think it would be kinda funny, but a lot of people would hate it, I think. But maybe.

Here's a kraftwerk song I uploaded for someone else, if anyone wants it:

Yeah, I recently went to America and was amazed at the low gas prices, but even more so at the fact people kept bitching about the rise. Even after the rise, people in Europe have been paying almost twice as much for decades.

Speaking of kraftwerk, anyone else a fan of bill bailey as a standup comedian (hes a brit)? Because for the last week i have had his "Kraftwerk" version of The Hokey Pokey stuck in my head, and i need advice as to how to remove it without using a power drill

SonorKen 08-31-2005 07:53 AM

WOW, I had no idea fuel costs were that expensive in Europe.

NJMetalMeister 08-31-2005 07:54 AM
WOW, I had no idea fuel costs were that expensive in Europe.
aye, when I was in germany, it would cost my german friends about 75 euro or so to fill up their gas tanks

superpeer 08-31-2005 07:55 AM

Well, I'm glad I don't have a car then. :)

Ah, there is no way, my friend. I had his Apocalyptic Rave and Hats Off To The Badgers stuck in my head for absolute ages.

Lord Abortion 08-31-2005 07:58 AM

what about the leg of time? that's a classic!

**** him then, for being such a comedic genius.

That being said, everyone who has no idea what we are talking about, needs to go watch Bill Bailey's "Part Troll" standup act immediately.

Have you seen the one in Punk? Joe's write ups for the 'winning' bands are hilarious.

Riva 08-31-2005 08:32 AM

Yeah, that is quite funny.

Okay, heading to bed people. Make sure you keep the discussion flowing in Jom's MNM thread, the guy did a great job. Night all.

superpeer 08-31-2005 08:45 AM

Yeah, I saw it.

Endless Obsession 08-31-2005 11:50 AM

In an attempt to revive the thread I have uploaded a song off of Chimaira's new album. (s/t).

Chimaira - Nothing Remains

EDIT : I failed.

Kurtz 08-31-2005 02:17 PM

I saw an ad for this in Guitar Player. Has anyone joined? Is there some kind of catch, or do you really get "12 CD's for the price of 1"?

I've always been interested in getting into one of those, but never have. :-\

Broken Angels 08-31-2005 03:05 PM

Hmmm...usually you get twelve CDs/books/etc..for the price of one, then have to buy fifty other things at an extortionate price.
It doesn't look like this thing works in the same way, but you should be wary.

PinkFreud 08-31-2005 03:05 PM

you do indeed, but then yorue required to buy a certain number every month or so.

Illmatic 08-31-2005 03:06 PM

I heard they rape you in shipping costs.

EDIT: Or maybe not.

Brewer14 08-31-2005 03:06 PM

"10-Day, Risk-Free Trial.

They don't say the terms of membership...which is why I'm doubtful. I could just get the CD's, burn them on my computer, and then send them back

Kage 08-31-2005 03:08 PM

In that case, you might was well just download them.

Taste_My_Scythe 08-31-2005 03:19 PM

Has anyone here seen CKY3? I've got a Cradle of Filth related question.
*cough*AHEM*cough*
Yeah, you'd be my first choice for Cradle of Filth related question, but have you seen CKY3? :D
They play a CoF song in the intro, and it's awesome...but I don't know what it is. It's got a really cool keyboard part, then it goes into a crunchy riff...which I haven't heard before in the CoF songs that I have.

Taste_My_Scythe 08-31-2005 03:40 PM

Ollie, if you hold on, I'm going to try to upload CKY3 (for anyone that wants it) and you can listen to the song.

Lord Abortion 08-31-2005 03:42 PM

sure thing..I'll just be here, losing at cricket 2004
