did someone say April...
According to the news post on toolband.com |
damn sam...
id guess MAY then :D |
This is great, I'm new here but Tool is genius, I'm curious, are there any other bands that'd be worth listening to to a die hard tool fan?
Try Cog they're a band from australia that i would compare with Tool, check their first two eps (just visiting parts 1 and 2) rather than the recent full length The New Normal though. |
damn sam...
id guess MAY then :D
No way, man, I'd say once the music is actually FINISHED (I don't think mixing is the final production stage), it seems to take at least 2.5-3 months to be released. Usually longer. |
i dunno if its been said in these 772 pages anywhere, but are you guys aware that this thread title refers to "tool's ball's", as in testes.
|
Doesn't it mean "The eggs of Tool"
|
yea , urrite
|

you know that only just now hit me |
Doesn't it mean "The eggs of Tool"
Eier means more than one thing in german |
Yes. It's either the eggs, or balls, of Tool.
|
balls?
|
no way
its the eggs of satan. Its a recipe, that keeps saying "and no eggs" |
I thought ball was Ball in German. and Eier is eggs. Unless Eier is also slang for testes?
|
even if it is...
you are taking it out of context |
I agree. So there you go forelander.
|
I agree. So there you go forelander.
:chug: |
Eier is slang for testes, but traditionally means "eggs".
|
this is kind of a pointless argument
|
So what's the deal with Die Eier Von Satan? I know it's some recipe, but is there an underlying meaning to it?
|
It's one of the tracks on aenima. It's meant to be a parody of Hitler. They are doing nothing more than shouting a recipe, but with such energy that anyone will follow.

I never thought of it that way, but that's really true. |
Instead of being the resident a.s.s.hole on the Tool thread, I've uploaded the new Puscifer (Maynard's side project) song on the upcoming Underworld Evolution soundtrack. Took a long *** time to find because the soundtrack isn't even released yet.
http://s14.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1L8AHRLNLX14Q33NBHEFTW2SSU
Maynard sounds a bit diffrent, decent song. |
Maynard sounds a bit diffrent, decent song.
Yeah he does, I didn't like it that much. |

I was also under the impression that since they say that we should "believe nothing" and that nothing should be taken at face value, this song was meant as an example of this. But thats just me. |
even if it is...
you are taking it out of context
It's quite obvious that it's supposed to have a dual meaning.. It's a joke |
It's quite obvious that it's supposed to have a dual meaning.. It's a joke
Yeah, exactly. It's not being taken out of context, you honestly think Tool would leave an ambiguous meaning like that without it being a joke? :p |
Though its pretty ghey that not even blair knows if the DVDs have been released in the UK, (btw, they havent ) so lets hope they get their act togther better with the actual album release.
Fear not my friend, as posted on Toolshed, they will be released Feb. 6th! :thumb: |

I ordered mine off amazon.com, got them a week or so ago now. |
Hooray for a real Toolband update. Most straightforward writing I've ever read from Blair. I'm pretty intrigued by the fact that there's voice overs on the album...

It's very satyrical. We should look at it as an example that everything is not what it seems, which is what I think the band is trying to tell us in that track. |
