Weed is all my parents ask about. They've never asked me about coke, shrooms, cid, meth, etc.

My parents know I'm a safe kid so they treat me respectfully trusting me =)

At least you have lots of chicks there though; my school is like 80 percent male.

My dad knows I smoke pot I think, since he caught me once. I'm pretty sure he'll be cool with i if he doesn't notice some substantial difference in my behavior.

My parents never ask me anything. I was always the good kid...never in trouble and always received good grades...if they only knew about the weed and weekly keg parties at my apartment =/

Hey you summed up my school....my school has a rather large STD rate also.

My mom figured out I sometimes drink and smoke pot, and she gave me a speech about how she knows it's a part of being a teen and that if I ever need help that I can call her and I wouldn't get in trouble, even though she doesn't necessarily ever want me to be doing drugs or be drinking in the first place.

After that talk though I kind of stopped drinking altogether just because I don't like doing it much at all and all I do now really is smoke. I've never gotten in trouble with anything though so they trust me enough to let me go out and stay out late.

My dad is still blissfully unaware so yes.

Over the past few months, my urges to drink and smoke have severely decreased and now I no longer have any real desire to get drunk or high anymore.

My parents trust me so much, almost to the point where it might not be good. But I don't really do anything to be untrustworthy so it's understandable.

sorry to say it but I wouldn't count on playing music the rest of your life. I don't mean to crush your dreams or anything but having a backup plan would be a good idea.

I had to come that harsh realization last winter. I spent 3 semesters studying guitar before I switched to architecture.

I was lucky enough to realize that in High School, so now I've decided to get my "back up plan" out of the way first, get my degree in Culinary, and then afterwards go to school for music. :)

So yeah... I just found out today that one of my friends back in high school has now has brain cancer and about a year to live. I'm supposed to go visit him tomorrow with a few other people and I have no idea what to even say to him.

Just be strong. Dont tell him you feel sorry about him getting cancer. Talk about the good old times and just try to do something fun with him to get his mind off of it and to lift his spirits. Talking about his cancer will just bum him out and its more important to make his last year meaningful and as fun as possible. You'll never be able to fully distract him, but just showing you care about him will lift his spirits.
