Better be good... its 27 bucks. Is there like any bonus stuff??

Deth 06-08-2005 09:18 PM

No. None at all.

That's expensive though.

Chu 06-08-2005 09:22 PM
On topic! The Jump In The Fire intro reminds me of a circus tent. I don't know why.
I love that song.

That's one thing about Live Sh*t and Cunning Stunts that i don't like- the way they cut from one gig to another, like One on Cunning Stunts, James' singing is horribly out of sync in places.

Feikert05 06-09-2005 04:19 PM

If you guys are talkin DVDs, S+M is the greatest DVD i own, and i own 70 or more. But Cliff em all does have a special place in all metallica fans hearts. Cliff Burtons downfall really affected matallica, and im sad for it. To live is to die is my favorite metallica song.

Darkness 06-09-2005 04:32 PM

I got it today... haven't watched it yet.

Feikert05 06-09-2005 04:35 PM

too bad, its good

LarsAgi007 06-09-2005 05:04 PM

Yes, I agree. Cliff em all is an amazing touching DVD. I just thought i would pop into the good old tallica thread to alert people of my latest Metallica buy!

I found a record shop the other week nearby my house, if you name it, they have it on Vinyl, if you don't believe me, I will go in their with my phone and take a pic of it lol...
Anyway, I asked if they had any Metallica singles, as I only had the SKOM, and Unnamed feeling single...
I was mainly after the older singles (No longer sold in stores) and they had the Enter sandman, and Wherever I may roam singles on Vinyl. I paid £2.00 for one, and £2.50 for the other!!! Also I just got two Memory remains singles (Part 1, and 2) and the Hero of the day single (Disk 2 of two)!! only £3.00 each!!!They are both amazing, and have unreleased songs, if anyone wan't them i will put them in the YSI thread, Just let me know which ones you want... P.S I will put the songlists up after work tommorow...

p.s, I never normally share music, but they cannot be bought in shops so its not as if the band are losing money!

You shouldn't really post tabs in the forums mate.. I have just got the Hero of the day single, with the original version of Hero of the day if you want it? And I don't mean the version from load

Feikert05 06-09-2005 05:14 PM

I definatly want the wherever i may roam single!! That is a great song. The solo is awsome (kinda reminds me of some kind of desert song, especialy the soloing key.)

But i still have to say that S+M is the greatest album that metallica has. It has a freakin orchestra for goodness sake!!! And they play call of kutulu, which is an all around awsome song (even though mustaine did help write it.)

Chu 06-09-2005 07:02 PM

Have you got a problem with Mustaine?

Anyway, I just got this in an email, it's apparantly new.
From February 3, 1989:

1. Blackened
2. For Whom The Bell Tolls
3. Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
4. Leper Messiah
5. Harvester of Sorrow
6. Eye of the Beholder
7. Bass Solo
8. To Live is to Die
9. Master of Puppets

That's a pretty decent tour imo, although I would have liked some Kill 'em All, and possibly Creeping Death \m/
But meh, begger's can't be choosers!
You can download the whole show for free too!

RustedPieces 06-09-2005 07:24 PM

Awesome. How come its free?

Chu 06-09-2005 07:37 PM

Guess they finally realised they have **** loads of money and no longer need to milk everyone for it.

I think it's great.

OO avatar i see. Finally!

NP: Blackened

Chu 06-09-2005 08:30 PM

lol yeah, even though I had to shrink it :x

By the way, I have been listenning to Blackened a bit lately, I got a video of Metallica doing it with Rob, the man does the song well.

RustedPieces 06-09-2005 08:32 PM

Rob does everything well.

Endless Obsession 06-09-2005 08:36 PM
Rob does everything well.
Yeah he does. We will have to wait for the next album to see how he compares to Cliff.

Chu 06-09-2005 08:40 PM

Rob will never be able to be compared to Cliff
Cliff died young, imagine if Cliff was still able to learn/write music. The possibilities!

Five Magics 06-09-2005 08:43 PM

^^^cliff would not of have any part of St.Anger....Rob is a great bass player, but I just don't think he suits Metallica

Huber 06-09-2005 08:46 PM

I like Rob. The vids I've seen of him on stage with Metallica have been pretty cool.

20 years ago, people would have said kirk and james wouldn't be part of saint anger, but they were.

Thats untrue. If they come out with another great album, and you can hear the bass and stuff, he can be compared with him.

heavy metal kid 06-09-2005 09:41 PM
20 years ago, people would have said kirk and james wouldn't be part of saint anger, but they were.
I think Cliff was the "no videos, no publicity stunts, just music"guy from the band.probably he would quit the band before load.

They were doing publicity stunts at the time of Black Album too. I think he would have stayed in the band, and not let them change.

Chu 06-09-2005 09:42 PM

If Rob was mid 20s yes they could be compared.
Cliff didn't have a chance to improve upon himself so, no, they cannot be compared.

Joe 06-09-2005 10:29 PM

Not that I don't love the jason albums, the cliff ones are better. I like the jason ones a lot.

Now to Rob vs. Cliff. Rob is a hardcore metal bassist (with ozzy) and on tour he was very energetic along with the other guys. (he's also got more skill than jason). I think Rob can help Metallica put together a great, classic album. It won't be like the old days simply because James blew his voice and Kirk just isn't as fast anymore, but the new album could be very good.

By the way, how are the recordings? I haven't been on in awhile

Britton 06-09-2005 10:56 PM

are you kidding?

Yea, James' voice is kinda matured now, he sounded like an 18 year old back then. Well because he was. lol. Now he has better voice imo and it's not as whimpy. On the next album, they should let james write riffs and lyrics, lars drums, kirk solos, and rob bass/bass solos. Then they shouldn't edit the drum sounds like they did on St. Anger. That would be pretty tight.

10571z 06-10-2005 12:58 AM

hey peoples is st anger a great album or it really **** cause my friend said it really really crap but i wanna get some more opinions?????
