So I saw this on TB and threw up a little in my mouth.
http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/56/1225272083lmj5.jpg 11 string Wishbass.
Jeez... that must've set him back about $20. |
ewww^
It still screws over poor countries because then they can't impose tarrifs that would help make them money and boost their economy, therefore, screwed.
A Third World country is more likely to become industrialized in a global environment, then if it has to purchase it's goods from countries who already impose those tariffs. I agree that unfettered globalization will only lead to exploitation and profitering, but that's why I favour a gradual process. |
hey people
Jeez... that must've set him back about $20.
 Probably. God, it's so disgusting. |

One of my favorite ERB's of all time |
Oh, whoops. What am I thinking of then?
We drove through the McGill campus. It's pretty huge.
Last time I was there, I had a hotel right near it. I must have a fairly strange psychological make-up if I went and stared through the fence at it every day. Concordia is supposed to be more art-oriented though. |

But chances of it actually happening the way it should so that everyone benefits are quite slim, which is why I hold my stance against it. |
I just threw up for real but not as a result of that wish :amaze:
|
quite frankly, i just find anything over 6 strings to just be ridiculous.
|
 Probably.
God, it's so disgusting.
I'd bet that the strings cost more than the bass. |

I think it's inevitable, it's just a question of how long it will take. At the point where our technology is made accessible, which it has to be some day, the world will have no choice but to be united or already destroyed. |
I haven't ever gotten my hands on anything higher than a 6 string bass
|
quite frankly, i just find anything over 6 strings to just be ridiculous.
Any reasoning behind that? People who buy them have a purpose for them, so it's not ridiculous to them. |

Morning sickness? |
quite frankly, i just find anything over 6 strings to just be ridiculous.
i agree, how much 'extended range' can even the most prolific of soloists need? :amaze: |

Concordia is supposed to be more art-oriented though.
Ahh. Well... if cheapness eventually wins out, you can always come and crash at my place. STU is ranked pretty high nationally for their arts education, so you wouldn't be compensating too much. |

I'm betting on nuclear war before the world ever unites. |
Morning sickness?
i lol'd |
I'd bet that the strings cost more than the bass.
It wouldn't surprise me. Wishnevsky seriously has to be one of the worst builders out there. |
Morning sickness?
I wish  Nah just had a little too much to drink last night. |
I'm betting on nuclear war before the world ever unites.
Cynicism ftw? hahaha, you're probably right. I'll be dead before either, I'm pretty sure. Did you hear about Zorn getting a $500 000 Genius Grant? |
I wish
Nah just had a little too much to drink last night.
You shouldn't drink when you're pregnant, I hope you know that..... lawl. |
My god, that bass is hideous. Not to mention wicked heavy, and horribly, horribly impractical.
By the way, Ben: Clone High ftw. |

Watch me be on your doorstep tomorrow. |
Any reasoning behind that?
People who buy them have a purpose for them, so it's not ridiculous to them.
well, i meant mainly for me. it just seems that when you have so many higher strings, you're just wandering out of bass territory. |
HAHAHA I shouldn't drink at all.
I was too drunk to pick my parents up from the airport this morning and I woke up to them telling me that I'm drunk :( |
You shouldn't drink when you're pregnant, I hope you know that.....

For me bass is really the style of playing not really the notes. Don't get me wrong even as a kid i always loved the sound of bass and would always turn up as far as it would go in the car.
|
Not yet... I should tell them
|
Watch me be on your doorstep tomorrow.
 If you can track down my house and be there by tomorrow, I'll be extremely impressed. |
Hey Jarred, what's up?
One of my friend's is moving to Salmon Arm, by the way.
Seriously? Crazy. And not a hell of a lot, really. How about yourself? |
Cynicism ftw?
hahaha, you're probably right. I'll be dead before either, I'm pretty sure. Did you hear about Zorn getting a $500 000 Genius Grant?
A cynic at best. Someone mentioned that Zorn thing on here... maybe it was you. Colbert is awesome. Crap, here's how it will go: I still haven't uploaded that Zorn album for you, but he's got another one coming out in a week or two with the same lineup (Mike Patton on vocals, Trevor Dunn on bass, some guy [I don't know who it is, but he's pretty damn good] on drums), so I'll download that and upload both for you. |
Not yet... I should tell them
At least before they notice you eating pickles and chinese food together. |
For me bass is really the style of playing not really the notes. Don't get me wrong even as a kid i always loved the sound of bass and would always turn up as far as it would go in the car.
yeah, except the bass eq only makes everything more bassy, it doesnt turn up the bass guitar o_O |
this is going too fast for my 56k
|
I'll be there, Ben, I will.
Jarred: Nothing much, I have a show coming up sometime soon. Spiff: I must have, one of the funniest things I've ever seen on Colbert. And I would probably trade my entrails for those albums. |
