SFAM would indeed be a good starter album. ToT and Awake were the two I started on, and loved them both. I was recommending on my own personal favourites though.

Metallica-Master of Puppets, Enter Sandman, The Unforgiven (there is a
Part I and Part II to this song, try them both out although i like the 1st one better) almost all MetallicA is good though

Slayer-idk
Megadeth-idk

RHCP-Under the Bridge, Otherside, Californication, and By the Way

Nivana-I like most of the stuff from "Nevermind" like "Smells Like Teen Spirit" "Come as You Are" and "In Bloom"...."Heart-Shaped Box" is another good one

Guns n' Roses-Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City(forgive me if that is not the right name) and Sweet Child of Mine

Pantera-idk

Pearl Jam- Evenflow idk Pearl Jam too well

RATM-idk

U should also try Chevelle and Tool songs like

Chevelle-The Red, Vitamin R, Send the Pain Below, and The Clincher
i like pretty much everything the put out but those are some of there popular songs if ur looking for a heavy tone try their album "Wonder What's Next"
For a heavy tone that doesnt have quite and edge to it try their new album "This Type of Thinking(Could Do Us In)

Tool-Aenema, Lateralus, Undertow, Sober, Swamp Song, Schism

Enemies of Reality is quite good.

Also, there aren't as many guitar solos but I absolutely love the riffing on Dead Heart in a Dead World and Dreaming Neon Black. I can upload some later if you'd like.

I'm looking for an orginal movie soundtrack with some quality metal bands.

MAthiAS 08-06-2005 01:46 AM

Why does it have to be a movie soundtrack?
Why does it have to be a movie soundtrack?
I would like some variety. Unless you can suggest a good metal compilation?
