Lil Wayne is terrible by the way
|
I know a couple kids who think Lil' Wayne is the best rapper ever. I don't know much of his stuff, but to me he seems way overrated.
The Fiery Furnaces are cool, by the way. I might go see them on Tuesday.
a lot of the better stuff he releases is on mixtapes or are single tracks/remixes the stuff straight off his albums usually doesnt compare hes good at the southern style of rap, but if youre into the northern style more it probably wont apeal to you as much. unno hes not the best, but hes definately good. |
He is the most overrated rapper right now. He gets put on Top 10 current rapper lists, like honestly he is so bad.
The Fiery Furnaces rule, that should be fun to see them. Architecture In Helsinki rules too, they have a similar sound. |

I think the only songs I've heard are from albums, but I really have no idea. Oh, also, there is this one Lil' Wayne lyric that my friends are convinced is genius. Something about a glock, a coma, glaucoma.
The Fiery Furnaces rule, that should be fun to see them. I'll admit that I do like the new Wyclef song, though. Lil' Wayne is on that.

Most of the guys in dipset haven't been popular since like, 2005. |

or something
Yeah, something like that. Awful. |

what? juelz, jim jones, cam'ron, jr writer, freeky zeeky have all had a bunch of relatively popular songs in the past year the first two more than the latter most of waynes songs are good because of catchy beat/lyrics, as opposed to actual lyrical content. |
"We Fly High" was huge for a good majority of last year.
I had to look up what 'Dipset' referred too. Not really my style for the most part. |
i listen to a lot of "gangster" rap i guess because of what a lot of my friends are into
|
um what
the only one of them that has had a popular song in the last year or two has been jim jones unfortunately |
i think lil wayne is more comedic than anything. his hook for money on ma mind is "get money, fuck bitches." i'm not too into rap, but i have been listening to a lot of biggie recently and i dig some wu tang stuff along with nas and NWA. mostly older stuff i guess.
|
I like a fair bit of rap.
Lately I've been listening to Public Enemy, Gang Starr, Common, Notorious B.I.G., The Coup, Busdriver, Psalm One, El-P, The Product, etc. Nas, Jay-Z, Clipse, and a lot of Wu stuff (Ghostface, Raekwon, etc.) are in regular rotation as well. |

123 i spend a lot of time laughing at his lines lol just because a song isnt top 40 doesnt mean its not popular i can name a bunch of songs by all those guys that every 13-30 year old in my town thats into any sort of party scene would know |
dipset rules, I'd rather listen to Yung Joc, T.I., Jeezy over lil wayne and they're all pretty mainstream
|
jeezy is dope 17.5 is my ringtone :)
i lol'd hard when ti got arrested |
just because a song isnt top 40 doesnt mean its not popular i can name a bunch of songs by all those guys that every 13-30 year old in my town thats into any sort of party scene would know
ya i know im mostly just talking about how it is in my town
if i don't hear it at least five times a day on someone's cell phone it prob isnt very popular half of Wayne's stuff is awesome and the other half is complete **** some juelz stuff is good. cam was pretty good for a few years but hes kind of lame now. song Killa Cam rules always puts me in a good mood |
