From Here to Eternity Live is a wicked good live album. The nice thing is it isn't just one concert, so you get a spectrum from their whole career.

And I have no Idea what the difference is on the anniversary edition, I have London Calling on vinyl, original copy. Thats just how cool I am.

sketchyjoe 04-16-2005 03:54 PM

There's an extra disc of alternate versions and demos on the Anniversary edition.

Rise Me Up 04-16-2005 03:54 PM

CombatRock 04-16-2005 05:39 PM

Forest_Fire 04-16-2005 05:41 PM

but I might not buy a cd for a while becuase I have to save up money to buy a new bass because I broke mine... :upset:

CombatRock 04-16-2005 05:43 PM

how did you break it?..what kind of bass you getting

Forest_Fire 04-16-2005 05:46 PM

I'm getting a fender jazz bass

My squier P bass just kind of fell apart. The input thing fell out and is lost, and the top strap thing fell off, and I think there's a crack somehwere.

I suppose I could get it repaired... but I want a new bass

CombatRock 04-16-2005 05:50 PM

Thats kind of what happened to my squier strat, so I got a hollow Ibanez artcore then a Fender standard strat. When I was at the guitar store I was playing London Calling on a Telecaster and it sounded perfect.

White Riot! 04-16-2005 09:51 PM

Tele's are awesome. The neck pickup is very warm and the bridge pickup as very bright and hot.

I dont like Jazz basses they are a bit bright , i feel.

The P bass is warm and thumpy and has a ton of low end.

Mick played leads on a stratocaster for straight to hell.

Simonon Played a J Bass on The Magnificent Seven I believe.

if you have the chance, get the anniversary version cause it's awesome.the cd with the vanilla tapes is not something i really listen to everyday, but once in a while i feel like listening to it.the dvd is awesome.i'd pay 50$ (that what it cost in canadian dollar anyway so 13$ for it is cheap huh) just to see guy stevens in studio with the guys throwing chairs and mick's face when guy attacks him while he plays.

obese_breasts 04-16-2005 10:26 PM

I think Mick might've also used a strat on Armagideon Time, because it sounds dead-on when I play it on mine.

And I'm not sure about Paul using a J Bass on Magnificent 7, but it is possible.

AChildAndHerLawnMower 04-17-2005 07:56 AM

2 months, 91 pages. Nice.

It's a discussion thread. THat's his opinion of The Clash. It's not the "Only post here if you love The Clash" thread.

guns_of_brixton 04-17-2005 11:05 AM

Yea, I think it was some kind of radio program in London that started out like that.

Forest_Fire 04-17-2005 12:01 PM

Does anyone know if Clash on Broadway is worth buying? I think it's expensive
