R.I.P Bon

maddog87 08-08-2005 06:56 PM

^^wtf??

Brewer14 08-08-2005 09:36 PM
Do you think Angus would still run around and duck walk if he was rhythm and malcolm was lead?
Probably, knowing him.

Ulysses 08-09-2005 02:08 AM
there was no fight geezer got brought back to his room. was reading an interview with Angus and they asked him "how many SGs do you have" and Angus replied "I dunno its in the hundreds now I lost count years ago"
I've heard from a few sources that Malcolm got stuck into him but nevertheless, I read a book on AC/DC about a year ago that outlined the inicident. Anyway, another good one is when Bon Scott and some bloke from Atlantic were at the same urinal and the bloke said something about the lightning bolt and and what it meant, Bon gave him an upper cut for his troubles.

Well you see, Bon Scott AC/DC's second lead singer died, and R.I.P. means Rest In Peace. But what AngusMaster so cleverly did, was instead of writing out Rest In Peace, he took the initials, and did R.I.P., and instead of writing Bon Scott, he simply wrote Bon.
Bump.
What was the point of that?

Follow The Reaper 08-10-2005 06:28 PM

No one had posted in a while, and I wanted something to talk about, but couldn't think of anything, and hoped you could start up a conversation on AC/DC.

Fish 08-10-2005 06:52 PM

I tried playing like angus young but i stubbed my toe on the washing machine.

you mean the duckwalk????i used to suck at it,but now ive got it down pat. i just worry about banging my guitar on something....................................................wow that would suck!!

Brewer14 08-10-2005 09:07 PM

Anyone else think Bon was underrated as a songwriter?

maddog87 08-10-2005 09:21 PM

err, yeah, i guess kinda, he had some great material that was going to be relase but he died and the head of the record company had it all destroyed because they didnt want the band to play his songs without him. malcom had sen them and i think that was all, but he said it was some of his best... man i wish bon could have lived at least long enough to release them, that would have been awsome

I tried doing that once playing with my cover band. As you can probably tell from my name, I was the bass player, but our lead player was a little sick and not feeling very "Angus" that night. Anyways, I tried doing the duck walk and ended up playing the rest of the show with one shoe. I never got my other shoe back.

maddog87 08-10-2005 09:24 PM

^^hahaha

Follow The Reaper 08-10-2005 09:26 PM

Howcome everyone on here are morons when they try to do a duckwalk?

maddog87 08-10-2005 09:27 PM

its not that hard once you practice, just dont do it in a small room

Bon_Scottie 08-11-2005 07:32 AM

I tend to do it at little gigs we have.

Normally when we're doing our cover of... well, many AC/DC tracks.

BassMasta2487 08-11-2005 10:28 AM

I just didn't realize it would take so much practice. Our lead player could just do it naturally, so I figured, hey, if he can do it on the first try, so can I. And, as a result, I am now known as "one shoe'd wonder".

maddog87 08-11-2005 11:37 AM

i can do it naturally without a guitar, but with one takes practice..

***random trivia question***
during what video production did bon break his leg, and then drink what in the ambulance??

BassMasta2487 08-11-2005 12:07 PM

It was the Let there Be Rock video. He broke it jumping out of the pulpit. I don't know the second part though.

Trivia: During the Let there Be Rock video, what disgusting behavior did Phil Rudd exhibit that Angus won't let him live down to this day?

maddog87 08-11-2005 04:52 PM

he drank jack daniels

i dont know about the second one though, ill have to go look at the video......

rockbender 08-11-2005 05:17 PM
