I had to count my calories for the past 2 days for my health class. Yesterday, I had 1382 calories, and today I've had 1615. Isn't the average 2,000?
Depends on your weight and activity level, but 2000 sounds about right

Woodstock 02-11-2005 08:31 PM
It depends, 2,000-2,500 is usually average... 2,500 moreso if you are an athlete.
I'm not much of an athelete, but I'm still pretty well built.

munky_magik 02-11-2005 08:34 PM
Sup munky_magic.

I'm not going to lie, I suck at guitar.

In other news, I love buffets. Discuss buffets and whether or not you think they are one of the most innovative ways of eating ever (stuffing your face for one low price).
After discussing buffet's I will now discuss Sup.
I just got back from my friends after watching a few films and drinking some beer. How're you?

Hey, so long as you're in shape it's all good, it depends on the person's size and metablosim as well, there isn't a one size fits all diet out there, you know what I mean? I normally have a bit over the average, but then again I'm like 6'4, and I'm not in that good of shape, I've been working out lately and I've lost 5 pounds though :).

Dieforitall89 02-11-2005 08:34 PM

Wow...i just bought st anger today...its really not as bad as people say it is.

Woodstock 02-11-2005 08:35 PM

2,500 just seems way to excessive. I don't starve myself, I have three meals a day, yet only end up with 1600 calories.

I'd like to think I'm in remotely good shape, and it will only get better when the summer comes around. Plus, I know I have a high metabolism.

It's OK I wouldn't go so far as the Swedish Metal review did though, reading that review, I thought it would be some amazing innovative album, but it ended up being average simple modern metal, nothing special. I think the main reason that everybody says it's so terrible is that it's Metallica, and before this, everything Metallica has done was amazing.

Yeah...its not bad...but its not metallica standard...im interested to see robs basswork on the next album though...F'king Bob Rock. :p

munky_magik 02-11-2005 08:40 PM

The majority of people say St Anger was awful because it doesn't sound like classic Metallica(i.e their thrash sound) and can't accept any sound outside of classic Metallica(i.e their thrash sound). The rest of the people who say it was awful just didn't like it.

And the lyrics are just atrocious, I was literally rolling on the ground laughing the first time I heard James repeatedly yelling "KILL!" at the end of the last song (All Within my Hands was it?) He sounds like he was going to have a heart attack.

Pre black album Metallica had good lyrics though

If you watch some kind of monster you see the real heart they put into getting that album out...

If you wanna hear Rob Trujillo's bass playing, then buy The Art Of Rebellion by Suicidal Tendencies, it's great stuff :thumb:.

I don't have anything against it. It means alot to them, just not to the fans because it doesn't sound like classic Metallica(i.e their thrash sound)

Wasnt trying to say you did, was just making a statement. :)

Well, I was sent Lateralus yesterday. I wasn't sure what to except, but I know I was disappointed. The best part of the music was the drummer. Any suggestions to tell me why it's so hyped about?

munky_magik 02-11-2005 08:47 PM
Nice.

I'm tired, and it's 9:45 on a Friday night. Holding late hours and waking up at 7AM takes a toll on me by the end of the week.

Otherwise, I'm just unwinding, but thanks for asking.
I can imagine how tiring it would be. Luckily my schedule only has me up early twice a week.
Asking is not a problem. Talking to the intelligible users on here is more often than not a pleasure :)

Yes...Danny Carey is VERY good...and what do you mean by hyped out...? If you mean wierd its the most prog rock album out of the four tool albums IMO.

jpj 02-11-2005 08:49 PM

I think by hyped he means how everyone is always raving about how awesome it is.

I'm still glad you sent it to me. Opened up my ears a little.

Remember the Titans is a great movie.

It's the only Tool album I've heard. I see nothing wrong with prog, but the atmosphere of the album seemed bland.

I love prog: Yes, Rush, Mars Volta, Pink Floyd...
I still wasn't much impressed by the "second best R&M album ever"

I like all of the bands stated there, as well as Tool and Opeth, that's about all the prog for me though.

munky_magik 02-11-2005 08:56 PM

I think with Tool you either get them, or you don't.
If you do they're an amazing band. If you don't then they're simply mediocre and you're left wondering what all the hype was about.
