repcak 09-19-2006 03:30 PM

there's a video? have to see it...eh... bad quality

btw. the ryhthm to dargor, shadowlord of the black mountain by rhapsody ... the riff i recommended for the Riff game isn't that easy... have problems... but, i just learn it since 5min... :p

Zombies Ate My Neighbours 09-19-2006 03:32 PM

the video isnt really like hte track at all ..

MRDuCran 09-19-2006 06:29 PM

Very true ^^. Although I have a tab which shows it's possible to play the studio version with string skipping which is probably how he played it. The live version is just him improvising.
are you guys doing Vivaldi thing? cause your gonna need a guitar synth for that to work...
Not necessary.
What exactly did Alexi and Roope use to get the violin type sound from the guitar in Passage To The Reaper?
Roope Latvala does not use a synth of any sort in that video. I can understand why people think he does because his guitar is mixed pretty low in comparison to everything else but there's a seperate synth track doubling everything Roope plays and it's actually a little louder than his guitar. Just listen to the parts where Alexi stops playing and you can quite clearly hear a synth sound and a guitar sound.

For anyone that cares, the new Sinergy album has had its release date pushed back into 2007 instead of 2006, around this time.

unknownsoldier12 09-20-2006 09:19 AM

i have yet to hear any sinergy

are they like CoB?

Zombies Ate My Neighbours 09-20-2006 09:26 AM

The only tab I have for Get out of my Yard is the sweep picking one, well, it's sort of sweep.

Infact it's just solid.

repcak 09-20-2006 09:50 AM

2007? :( bad news.... we have to wait another year. next cob album will be 2008 then :/

sinergy is like the power metal version of the early children of bodom... excellent!!

Zombies Ate My Neighbours 09-20-2006 09:57 AM

Doesnt necessarily mean CoB's will have to wait til 2008.

repcak 09-20-2006 10:00 AM

they are on tour till the end of 2006, and i can't imagine they will record an album early 2006, go on tour again and alexi will have enough time to record an album for sinergy ...

Zombies Ate My Neighbours 09-20-2006 10:07 AM

People like Devin Townsend chuck out several albums a year, from several bands even with tour after tour.

That and producting other peoples albums.

No, the Sinergy album is already 90% recorded. Apparantly it's just a few guitar tracks and maybe some vocals that need doing. CoB's next studio album is due Autumn 2007.

Someone on the Racer X boards re-arranged it so it's was string skipping and it looks much more playable, but still extremely difficult.

Check out Kurrpt and his 999 posts.

Here's a kickass Sinergy song:

repcak 09-20-2006 10:46 AM

which post exactly?

MRDuCran 09-20-2006 10:51 AM

What?

Zombies Ate My Neighbours 09-20-2006 10:53 AM

Do you mind uploading the tab of it as string skipping ?

Sadl,y both that tab and mine are wrong; the guitar is tuned in octaves, which is why he uses the double neck live.

this, or did you mean that he reached his 999th post?

Zombies Ate My Neighbours 09-20-2006 10:57 AM

That's what his post says.

unknownsoldier12 09-20-2006 10:58 AM

yea, im sure that will disappear again once the guitar community thread is deleted

He had 999 posts when I wrote it...

Zombies Ate My Neighbours 09-20-2006 11:03 AM

Hmm, debatable which version is easier.

FFS.

MRDuCran 09-20-2006 11:05 AM

Well Paul claims it's impossible to play so I wouldn't even try. Learn it on keys or something.

Zombies Ate My Neighbours 09-20-2006 11:07 AM

It'll be my backburner piece for the next few years.

Sigh, 7 years of playing and i still havent scratched the surface of his playing haha.

MRDuCran 09-20-2006 11:10 AM

That's not suprising, he's ridiculously good.

Zombies Ate My Neighbours 09-20-2006 11:11 AM

I know.

People seem much harsher when you have less posts than normal.

MRDuCran 09-20-2006 11:14 AM

Uh?

Zombies Ate My Neighbours 09-20-2006 11:16 AM

This is my account for when i'm banned.

It's interesting to see how differently people treat you when your post count differs or people jsut dont know who you are.

MRDuCran 09-20-2006 11:21 AM

Indeed. Unfortunately for people like Dylan, people will always dislike him as soon as they realise it's him, which doesn't take long.

Zombies Ate My Neighbours 09-20-2006 11:25 AM

lmao

MRDuCran 09-20-2006 11:27 AM

Looks like he's given up on MX now, he said he would but noone believed him at the time.
