I just watched Contempt for the second time. Directed by Godard and one of the most interesting and moving things I've seen in quite some time. I'd recommend it to anyone. (Especially br3ad)

Tangy zizzle 01-04-2006 04:38 PM

Yeah that is a good film. It was a reccomended viewing for one of my papers last year. I liked it, even though I'm not a huge Godard fan.

That whole period kinda bores me.
What concerts?
Colin Meloy conflicts with a rehearsal, and Dream Theater with one of the four performances.
What's your musical this year?
Our musical is going to suck, The Music Man! Only 6th graders put on The Music Man.
Man of La Mancha. Should be pretty good, although I'm still pushing for Tommy. :p

YDload 01-04-2006 05:03 PM

I am I Don Quixote the Lord of La Mancha, da DAH da da-da duh... that was a fun movie.
Amelie is really good. Amazingly beautiful filmwork. <3
I agree. Plus, Audrey Tatou is very pretty. She's gonna be in The DaVinci Code which looks pretty cool.

Dang, I need to rewatch Amelie, I haven't seen it in a few years.

I totally fucked up today. I thought I had Comm 11 second block, and a spare first block. What I do on those days is sleep in, and then get to school for second block. But I screwed up, and I had Comm first block. I slept in, and only discovered this fact when I got to school. Luckily, my teacher just gave me my work and wasn't angry. In fact, she even excused by absence, because it was a simple mistake  What a nice lady. I still felt like an idiot :upset:

biografiend 01-04-2006 06:16 PM

I didn't really think she was amazingly beautiful. But I think it might have just been the fact that I wasn't too fond of her hair, or some of her facial expressions (including the shot on the cover). But she is quite pretty.

talk show host 01-04-2006 06:25 PM

Audrey Tautou is stunning

To add to what JonM suggested:

The Meditations
Misty In Roots
Culture
Dennis Brown
Peter Tosh
Jimmy Cliff

You can get any of those from me on soulseek. My name is DanielN.

Glitterati 01-04-2006 06:47 PM

Good god Nacho posts a lot of myspace bulletins.
So my pops got me an MP3 player for christmas and I felt guilty about not using it so here I am throwing on all 300+ albums I have onto it. This is going to take forever. Nothing beats my ol' stereo though.
Are you ripping them all to your computer? That would take forever.

Electrocution 01-04-2006 07:01 PM

He married her??

And they have 7 kids???

The NPC 01-04-2006 07:20 PM
Are you ripping them all to your computer? That would take forever.
No, straight to the player.

I have about 30 albums on it. I don't see how I'm going to fit the other 270+ ones I've got.

Are you kidding me? Audrey's facial expressions are so adorable and lovable. Amelie is a great movie (and I love the soundtrack by Yann Tiersen).

biografiend 01-04-2006 08:32 PM

The soundtrack is good.

I don't blame him for marrying her. I'd tap that.

br3ad_man 01-04-2006 09:20 PM

Amelie was awesome. I don't think I could watch it again for a while though.

I've been meaning to get into Godard. Thanks, I'll get it out today if my video store has it. Hmm, Fritz Lang was in it...very interesting.

Do you like Fellini?

Jawaharal 01-04-2006 09:27 PM

meh, I just watched Resident Evil 2. I suck at picking out good movies.

Glitterati 01-04-2006 09:35 PM

A girl in my painting class offered to do my portrait the other day. It was only until after she was done that I was hit with the fact that I am not the most attractive guy in the world.

mentalstephanie 01-04-2006 09:39 PM

Speaking of portraits, this girl asked me if I would pose nude for her for a portrait (she had a crush on me over the summer and I'm not bi/gay :upset: ).

YDload 01-04-2006 09:41 PM

well didja didja didja????

mentalstephanie 01-04-2006 09:44 PM

In fact I did. My portrait is floating somewhere on the internet.

Hey, did anyone else see that Rose Bowl game? That was a thriller. In the night.

Happymeal 01-04-2006 11:41 PM

Boohoo for USC.

AK47 01-05-2006 12:05 AM

Tejas winz.

JonM 01-05-2006 12:28 AM

Damn that was a good game.

I saw 8 1/2 a long while ago, but I never really created an opinion. I need to see other films he's done and rewatch 8 1/2.

Nuts to Texas, they go lucky. Luuuuuuuuuuuucky

8 1/2 did the same thing for me. I asked because he is usually listed next to Godard as one of the greatest filmmakers ever.

I got out dumb movies today:

Rocky
Raising Arizona
Yojimbo
