I like the DJ Shadow album that you posted.
Of course you do.
What cd's did you get Lunch?

So we finally played our show today, we played for one class, then for another two classes right after. We played Let It Be (Beatles), Fields of Gold (Sting/Eva Cassidy), Soco Amaretto Lime (Brand New), and Iris (Goo Goo Dolls). It went well, although I wish we played harder/more impressive songs.
That's not a great setlist...
That's not a great setlist...
Well he did say he wanted to play harder stuff.

magicbus 02-02-2005 05:23 PM

I used to be a Brand New fan. I saw them in concert. It wasn't bad.

Woodstock 02-02-2005 05:29 PM

Yes, what CD's did you get Lunch?

Illmatic 02-02-2005 05:31 PM
Well he did say he wanted to play harder stuff.
I know, I know.

Also, I'm sure you guys will be thrilled to know that my girlfriend likes jam bands.

Woodstock 02-02-2005 05:35 PM

New song. Very catchy.

Allmans - Beginnings
Dead - Aoxomoxoa
Jazz is Dead - Blue Light Rain
CCR - Willy and the Poor Boys

The Cds I ordered like three weeks ago that finally got here.

Illmatic 02-02-2005 06:01 PM

Good choices for the Allmans and CCR.

BludgeonySteve 02-02-2005 06:02 PM

Nice cds. What's jazz is dead like?

Woodstock 02-02-2005 06:04 PM

I have the Allman Brothers one, but not the CCR one. Good choices though.
Nice cds. What's jazz is dead like?
Well lets see, what's the word I'm looking for.....

Oh yea. Awesome.

BludgeonySteve 02-02-2005 06:05 PM

That was really informitive... I was looking mainly for a genre and style.

Woodstock 02-02-2005 06:05 PM

Any comments on the song?

Very descriptive Lunch.

lunch998 02-02-2005 06:08 PM

Well they play Grateful Dead covers in Jazz/rock/fusion form. I'm not really good with genres, that's probably the best I can do.

Edit: I'm not completely sure that all their material is Dead covers, but I know Blue Light Rain and Laughing Water are.

RockAndRoll 02-02-2005 06:14 PM

Ya, I'm not all that great with genres either, it's annoying.

ATM 02-02-2005 06:16 PM

Anyone here into Marshall Tucker Band?

It's really good but it's not that catchy.

Give it a few more listens. Every Kink's song grows on you.
Anyone here into Marshall Tucker Band?
I'm into them, I pretty much only like their first two CDs because those are their best work, anything after that is sub-par. There coming to town soon but I don't think I'm gonna see them because they have new material they'll be playing from their new CD which sucks. Their second CD is really underrated since it came out at the same time as many other great CDs.

Allman Brothers Band - Beginnings is like the best CD ever...I dunno why they would sell two CDs for the price of one but I'm not complaining.

I had a feeling you would come after the Marshall Trucker Band was mentioned.;)

Yea, I would have bought them separately. It's a great album(s).

Anyone want samples of Jazz is Dead? It's really just great music, very interesting, and full of talent on all fronts.

Badmoon 02-02-2005 06:58 PM
Nice cds. What's jazz is dead like?
WTF, I explained that before like 100 times.

Yea, I've also listed the Cds I was getting a few times, but people still asked me.

The Animals. Did they have any other good songs besides House of the Rising Sun and We Gotta Get Out of This Place?

Another great one is, Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood.

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 02-02-2005 07:05 PM

How many albums did they have? And what are they called?
How many albums did they have? And what are they called?
I think they only had one and it was sef-titled
I might be wrong

BillCosby 02-02-2005 07:07 PM

Speaking of the Animals, and Eric Burdon, and he did a song with War...

bad transition

War is awesome. I saw them last year, and my friend's band opened up for them.

EDIT: by song, I mean album
