OMG! The first is most likely my favorite song ever (Along side "Sugar Magnolia". The whole vibe and feel to the song is amazing. Very mellow and nicely done. Plus, listeners should appreciate the cover, being that the vocalist does not try to imitate Marley's vocal styling.

You are full aware that you just said "OMG", right?

Badmoon 02-01-2005 08:19 PM

Yes I am. Are you aware that you are using an avatar that can be no farther from original than it already is?

Woodstock 02-01-2005 08:19 PM

Badmoon, for yousendit.com, to get the url, do you just send it to yourself?

Badmoon 02-01-2005 08:20 PM

Yes, but then again, you are a fan of Syd Barrett ;)

jpj 02-01-2005 08:20 PM

Yep, same here. I don't have to run, for I no longer fear Badmoon.

Yes I am, I even stole it from a user here :p

I can't edit pictures and such so it's always a struggle for me to find an avatar.

Sugar Magnolia owns, I don't know what song you guys are listening to.

Yes, I send the song by myself through yousendit.com.
Yes, I send the song by myself through yousendit.com.
Ok, I'll give this sending thing a try. I'll do a QMS song.

Badmoon 02-01-2005 08:24 PM

It is very easy. You just need the song (as an mp3) on your computer and then find it and wait. :)

Woodstock 02-01-2005 08:26 PM

Oh, here you go.

I wasn't kidding.

I love playing along to this song. Great jam tune.

Nice songs Badmoon!

Anyone here into Roy Orbison, he's hugely popular overseas for some reason (or atleast in Ireland) and extremely popular here...his last CD 'Mystery Girl' produced by Jeff Lynne is awesome and has the huge hit "You Got It"

"Oh, Pretty Woman" is what he's best known for...great song catchy as hell like most of his stuff, my other favorite is "Working for the Man" awesome song.

thickasabrick 02-01-2005 10:35 PM

I'm a huge Roy Orbison fan. He's one of my favourite singers, it's strange you mentioned him though...last night on the radio they played an entire Travelling Wilburies album and I was almost absolutely sure his voice suited his songs perfectly. No one could sing his songs like he could. My favourite song is probably Anything You Want (You Got It).

I remember one time a few years ago, a Roy Orbison concert was on TV, and me and my gf were having sex in her room (I was listening to the concert)...and my girlfriends five year old sister comes in and is like "whos that on the tv?" (she didn't notice what we were doing), so we had to stop and explain to her who Roy Orbison was while naked under the blankets...very frustrating, but it's nice to see someone showing an interest in The Big O (Orbison, not orgasm).

Illmatic 02-01-2005 10:39 PM

That's a very interesting Roy Orbison-related anecdote. I'm glad that all my girlfriends were either only children or all their siblings were older and at college/away from home.

You can send more than one file if you compress them into a zip file.

I love that Blackberry Blossom song! I learned a version of it not too long ago (not as impressive as Doc Walker of course). My guitar teacher recorded a version of it onto one of the albums he made with his bluegrass duo, it's quite amazing. Blackberry Blossom might be one of the coolest bluegrass songs.

....and classic rock is cool too.

LOL  ! What a great moment. I've had encounters like that, except its my g/fs 16 year old brother walking in (and no we weren't watching any spiffy concerts, otherwise I'd be distracted ;) )

appreciate_it 02-02-2005 02:56 AM

great moment. Nice to know you can do the job with Orbison playin ;)

I just found and loaded on Transmissions. So, I'll load it into a zip file and give it to you when I get back from school.

Did you show her your o-face?

I've not had any possibly disasterous encounters like this.

Ha, my Cds finally came.

thickasabrick 02-02-2005 04:11 PM

What cd's did you get Lunch?

So we finally played our show today, we played for one class, then for another two classes right after. We played Let It Be (Beatles), Fields of Gold (Sting/Eva Cassidy), Soco Amaretto Lime (Brand New), and Iris (Goo Goo Dolls). It went well, although I wish we played harder/more impressive songs.

jpj 02-02-2005 04:13 PM

Friends don't let friends play Brand New songs. Get a new band, for your own good.
