Never a good idea, because that obviously never tells you anything when it comes to black metal. Gotta listen to the whole thing. I did notice that the guitars sounded less refined than on [i]White Tomb[/i].

hey fellers, im just kinda gettin into black metal (always been a death metal guy) and im sure there has been 10000 people asking this same question but what are some bands worth looking into? i really dig the songs transilvanian hunger by darkthrone and Blashyrkh by immortal. those are a few i've come across that i like.

darkthrone and immortal are good starting points, get the first couple albums by both bands

then try dissection, gorgoroth, bathory, beherit, burzum and ulver to get a feel for different styles of black metal and go from there

skip all that hipster bullshit and go straight to krallice
