prob best song on brother, sister
dude Wolf Am I and O, Porcupine

cobert 10-22-2009 11:06 PM

That song rules. My roommate still listens to that album and I can dig it because that was my favorite album when I was 11 or 12 or whatever.

cbmartinez 10-22-2009 11:33 PM
dude Wolf Am I and O, Porcupine
O, Porcupine is so great, but actually I'd say C-Minor is my favorite track. I love that really dissonant part at the end of In A Market Dimly Lit also

Iluvatar 10-22-2009 11:37 PM

" and all of creation groans SHHHH..... listen to it" is seriously the coolest thing any band has ever written ever. c-minor is really great too though

cbmartinez 10-22-2009 11:39 PM

oh **** yeah that part is soooo sick, the guitar interplay on the verses is perfect, they use the delay so nicely. but they definitely executed the beautiful atmospheric guitarwork on catch for us better

Iluvatar 10-22-2009 11:41 PM

i recently started to dig cfutf more. the soviet and seven sisters are so perfect. i still like ablife and brother sister a bit more though

cbmartinez 10-22-2009 11:44 PM

carousels dude the most emotional vocal delivery he gives, except for maybe that part on disaster tourism (my fave mwy song) where he gets all intense about the electric lights or whatever. idk catch for us is such a perfect album, got into it at a peculiar time in my life but til the day i die i will believe that is their best one

Iluvatar 10-22-2009 11:46 PM

other than some of his omggirllyrics that line if there was no way into god i would never have laid in this grave of a body for so long is probably the best lyric he has written

cbmartinez 10-22-2009 11:48 PM

yeah agreed, the wandering sinai bit, hes got a way with words, definitely need that poetic ability when you have the vocal delivery they employ

Iluvatar 10-22-2009 11:51 PM

yeah. it got kind of silly on it's all crazy! with all the animal imagery and stuff (although the second verse of bullet to binary 2 is lol) but for the most part he is pretty genius in his work

honourosis 10-23-2009 03:23 AM

catch for us the foxes is clearly their best

whiteminority 10-23-2009 06:23 AM

the moon is a dead world is one of the best albums of the last 10 years and definitely one of the most innovative; it may be easy to brush it aside now, but absolutely no one sounded like that when that album came out. they are kind of a big deal.

RetiredAt21 10-23-2009 08:06 AM
wait does anybody remember when there was that thread that revealed that scott dude was in a System of a Down video?
looooooooooooooool

flesh 10-23-2009 09:34 AM

haven't listened to gospel in a long time but i used to listen to that album all the time back when it came out and it was when i first started to smoke weed. probably some of the best music to smoke to. **** ruled.

RetiredAt21 10-23-2009 09:35 AM

I like to listen to Darkthrone whilst blazing. I feel like a vampire.

yeah im sorry but i tried really hard to like this album, it's not good at all. that band is dead to me now

Iluvatar 10-23-2009 11:25 AM

pretty sure they arent going to make another record anyways

cbmartinez 10-23-2009 11:26 AM
classic rawk bro

axis is his best album tho
i don't know, i have no problem with classic rock. i like most of it a lot.

i really like all of them, i would say electric ladyland might be my favorite. but castles made of sand is my favorite song.

cobert 10-24-2009 02:20 AM

douchebags that don't like classic rock now are the same douchebags that thought they were rebelling against their parents when they were 14 by growing their hair long and wearing Doors t-shirts (inadvertently doing what their parents did lololol).

cbmartinez 10-24-2009 02:24 AM
