Ok, cool. I'll see what I can do.

Edit: Leah, every time I try to open the files I get an error that says "Could not find project data folder" Any idea why?

Lord Abortion 07-20-2005 02:17 PM

Did you extract everything to a file on your desktop (or somewhere easily accessible)? That happens when all of the files aren't in place or something. Let me know if it persists and I'll send everything again; maybe I missed something.

Alrighty. Let me try again.

Crap. :upset:

I spent an hour and a half downloading Meshuggah's "I", and I got banninated by the bastard! I only got the first 8:47 of it, but man, it's still mind boggling.:-| That clean part all out of nowhere is awesome.

If I find where I've got it, I'll try uploading it for you if you'd like.

John - I sent it again.

You said you already have Audacity right? Was it the version that someone uploaded on this board or from somewhere else? I'll check the files I'm sending and make sure everything is ok there.

Just for anyone wondering, meta is one thousand giga's, I think. This would be like owning a mini-van with 500 horsepower- Way more than you're going to need for anything.
Nay, a terabyte is 1000 gigs, so a metabyte is probably a million gig. Which is insane, and totally unnecessary, at least for the next few years (i mean i can remember back 5 years ago thinking 80 gb was more than enough, how wrong i was).

The version I have is from somewhere else. It is Audacity 1.2.3

Mkay. I'm going to send the files again, and the installation for Audacity (my version) with it.

EDIT: sent audacity, the files will be sent soon with megaupload

Moses 07-20-2005 02:35 PM

My band decided on taking a break from our own stuff and doing a bunch of covers.

These are the songs we're covering....

My Own Summer (shove it) by the Deftones
The Trooper by Iron Maiden ( transposed by me to drop c  )
More Human than Human by White Zombie
Spiders by System of a Down
Sugar by System of a Down
Thunderkiss 65 by White Zombie
Death Blooms by Mudvayne
Aenima by Tool

I got a 20 gig harddrive...

I mean, my freaking IPOD has that much space on it.

I desperately need to convince my parents to get a new computer...

Lord Abortion 07-20-2005 02:42 PM

Our band is mostly hard rock/prog/Nu-metal sounding, even though the lyrical content isn't.

We'll be changeing styles alot in the future.

I'll be playing guitar and singing on The Trooper. That song kicks all ***.

I like it, it's a nice mix,
my drummer is very PM based and I am too, so that's the direction I want the band to be in, unfortunately to cover a dragonforce, nightwish or bodom song, or even to play our own material of that style, a keyboardist is very necessary, and there seem to be none available...

Keyboardists are in really high demand right now. Wasn't it you that mentioned that in the Black Metal thread? Since I play piano, we could do a Dragonforce cover but we don't have two guitarists. Not like it's hard to find......

Shattered_Future 07-20-2005 02:56 PM

My band's songs so far:

Great, huh? :p

We've only had 3 practices though...working on one original at the moment...and still trying to think of a name.

power metal, huh? That's great. If you ever cover a Bodom or Nightwish song, I'd love to hear it. Not too much of a Dragonforce fan; I just can't listen to the lyrics.
Keyboardist? Look for someone that plays piano, even some classical piano training would be good. I thought about playing keyboard and guitar, but I only have a piano, so that won't work.

yes, it was me, they really are, especially since finnish- style power metal is incredibly popular at the moment, long may it continue

Shattered_Future 07-20-2005 03:00 PM

My band has a keyboardist who is also a bassist, along with a normal bassist.

We attempted to cover Nemo...maybe in a few months/years. :p

He says the song is really atmospherical, so it would be hard to play all the parts at once, seeing as how there's a lot of them. Plus, we would need a girl singer, or I would have to sing it...

Imagine, a female soprano part being done by a male baritone...

That would not work. Not for Nightwish.

John - YSI and megaupload are being dorks. I have to send the files separately through AOL. expect two files.
