I stuck the link in a rep message.
I'm not allowed to rep you back, but I had already grabbed it on soulseek when I got the message. I haven't made it very far in, but it's good stuff. I got 3 bonus tracks if you don't have em.
Nuttin wrong with Blur....I love the album 13.
And Blur and Think Tank. And like all of them.

asymm 01-22-2007 04:20 PM
yeah I've never seen anybody else dig this album. The last part of "Language of Flowers" is so good.
Really? I've seen quite a number of folks dig it. I had a brief shoegaze fling about a year ago when I picked it up. It's a great album for sure.

Deerhoof's Friend Opportunity arrived in the mail today, so I plan on listening to that tonight.

It's uncredible. Inbelievable. Listen to it loudly.

Bukowski 01-22-2007 04:23 PM

Comforts of Madness is amazing. Sea of Sound...incredible song.

Yowie - Cryptooology

Anxious 01-22-2007 04:45 PM

Elliot is dead. You can't see him live. Because he's dead.

Kage 01-22-2007 04:45 PM

Sigur Ros is great live but their albums are decent.

Zmev 01-22-2007 05:46 PM

RATM
The Dwarves

I lost my phone so its an angry music day, also excitedness for Coachella.

bleep_bloop 01-22-2007 06:03 PM

JonM 01-22-2007 06:51 PM

Kyle, on further listening, I got bored. I wanted real dub and never really got it.

Kyle 01-22-2007 06:53 PM

Fair enough.

Got any fresh Dub reccomendations for me? Still diggin' that Bush Chemists CD.

bleep_bloop 01-22-2007 06:56 PM

Burial is some pretty good dubstep. i can hook you up with a link if you need it.

perriwinkle 01-22-2007 06:58 PM
Burial is some pretty good dubstep. i can hook you up with a link if you need it.
Sure, i'll try it.

asymm 01-22-2007 07:02 PM

Burial is great, but I don't think that's what they're really looking for...

Kyle 01-22-2007 07:05 PM

Beirut - Gulag Orkestar

JonM 01-22-2007 07:30 PM
Got any fresh Dub reccomendations for me? Still diggin' that Bush Chemists CD.
As far as contemporary stuff goes, check out Groundation's Dub Wars. I also highly recommend their reggae albums, all of them (you can start with We Free Again), but this one foray into dub is pretty deep and enjoyable. If you want old-school, get the Lee Perry Arkology compilation at once. It's 3 discs of amazing, bordering-on-ludicrous, Perry-produced brilliance from a bunch of different artists.

Kyle 01-22-2007 07:35 PM

Thanks, I have Each One Teach One and Upon The Bridge already and love them. So i'll track down those others.

bleep_bloop 01-22-2007 07:38 PM

yeah for dub also check out scientist and augustus pablo if you havent already.
so do you want the link for burial?

Kyle 01-22-2007 07:41 PM

Yeah sure, worth a try.

bleep_bloop 01-22-2007 07:44 PM

ok gimme a sec to find it
Burial is great, but I don't think that's what they're really looking for...
thats why i said dubstep instead of dub

YDload 01-22-2007 08:23 PM

omg "Can't Hardly Wait" is such a great song. well, it would be better with fewer extraneous instruments, but i guess you couldn't stop Westerberg from doing what he wanted at that stage in the 'Mats :(

Jacaranda 01-22-2007 08:39 PM

Thats such a great album. Probably one of my favorite Replacement songs too. Along with "Alex Chilton" and "I.O.U." oh, and "Red Red Wine."

pulseczar 01-22-2007 09:15 PM

Belle and Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister
Zion I & the Grouch - Heroes in the City of Dope
MF DOOM - MM..Food?

biografiend 01-22-2007 09:20 PM

Apostle of Hustle - National Anthem of Nowhere

I ehlike.

Kayetan 01-22-2007 09:35 PM

Sigur Ros was amazing live.

Ghost - Lama Rabi Rabi
Sufjan Stevens - Illinois

I haven't listened to Sufjan since probably early September, but it's such a nice album. :) Albums are the best when you're really way into them for awhile, then you go a couple months without listening, and when you go back, it's awesome.

And Ghost is awesome too. Listen to them if you want cool stuff.

Happymeal 01-22-2007 10:06 PM

I just realized that the Michio Kurihara from that Boris album is from Ghost. Speaking of japanese bands

King Brothers - 13

This rocks big time. There's a lot less noise than the albums before this and for the most part, it works in their favor. Definitely look out for this if you're into Stooges/MC5-influenced stuff; their earlier matierial if you like Guitar Wolf and the like.

asymm 01-22-2007 10:30 PM

on top of Friend Opportunity, I've been digging:
Sleep - Dopesmoker
Genghis Tron - Dead Mountain Mouth
