and claiming that you smoke cigarettes also like me. :smoke:
Us creatures of the mythos have no urge to become "cool". I don't smoke either. :p
Seniors represent?

I'm personally a mathematics/physics kinda guy, probably going into an engineering field
Engineering will be a good place to be in 5 or so years. Apparently, companies are extremely short of engineers right now, which means that you'll probably be getting paid an extreme amount of money.

I'm more of an english/arts guy. I like to write, and act, and play music, and other things that could quite possibly be deemed as faggy.

I'm in my second year of Electrical Engineering
Blah, I'm bored, I felt like being a dick, sorry.
Oh, carry on. :D

Huber 08-28-2005 10:28 PM

If I can't carry on in music I'm going to use the Cisco Academy courses I've taken in High School and start a career in networking. in a few years tons of networkers are retiring and it'll be a good place for money. However, networking is so **** boring and I'd hate to do that for a living.

Illmatic 08-28-2005 10:32 PM

Patriots (me) 27, Eagles (my roommate/best friend J.J.) 26

Won by--what else?--the leg of Adam Vinatieri, a 44 yard field goal with four seconds left, set up by a 22 yard prayer from Brady to David Givens

Key plays:
37 yard touchdown pass from Brady to Daniel Graham on 4th-and-3 to cut the Eagles lead to 17-10
missed extra point by David Akers on the last Eagles touchdown of the night (which only gave him a 26-24 lead and set the stage for my last-minute heroics)
Monty Biesel DENYING Brian Westbrook on 3rd-and-goal from the two, forcing my buddy to settle for a field goal, turning a potential 21-3 lead into a 17-3 lead

So um, I'm a little too into Madden 2006. Discuss.

ATM 08-28-2005 10:33 PM

I guess you had to be there.

Huber 08-28-2005 10:34 PM

I'm not a fan of Football video games.

Endless Obsession 08-28-2005 10:35 PM

Haha, you know your a little too into a sports game when you give a full recap including Key Plays in a R&M community thread.

Illmatic 08-28-2005 10:36 PM
I guess you had to be there.
And the Oscar for "Biggest Smartass" goes to...

But the big story here was me continuing my run of dominance against J.J., which is now reaching legendary* heights

* - legendary to me, at least

Permanent Solution 08-28-2005 10:37 PM

I prefer hockey games to football games...but I'm too lame to buy them. And I never play video games anymore...

MBS 08-28-2005 10:42 PM

I still occasionally play NHL 2004. Even though I'm 2 years outdated.

RCA 08-28-2005 10:42 PM

Speaking of hockey games, ESPN NHL 2K6 rules.

Permanent Solution 08-28-2005 10:44 PM

I think the most recent NHL game I have is 2k3 or 2k4...but I played through 4 years or something on it haha.

MBS 08-28-2005 10:47 PM

Is Ken releasing the new list of people who have stars tonight?

Vince - You're almost at 15k

RCA 08-28-2005 10:49 PM

Why do I have stars?

Permanent Solution 08-28-2005 10:49 PM

He hinted that he might, but I haven't seen any indication he will or won't beyond what he said in the RMOTM thread. He and Jim are both on though so it's a good time for them to do it if they're not busy I think.

I know. I feel like such a loser :(

NP: Ska cover of Hotel California :D

EDIT: I have stars

MBS 08-28-2005 10:54 PM

So I guess he DID do it tonight.

Edit: Schmya and Lunch are the 2 CR regs that have them, from what I can see.

Dancin' Man 08-28-2005 11:24 PM

Just got back from seeing Ed Gein, Curl Up and Die and Animosity. Animosity = excellent + being very cool guys, Ed Gein = pretty good + being cool guys Curl Up and Die = not so good, didn't meet them.

RCA 08-28-2005 11:31 PM

Curl Up And Die = awesome band name

NP: Slough Feg - The Pangs Of Ulster

Dancin' Man 08-28-2005 11:37 PM

Animosity's drummer = amazing. I was asked to keep it on the DL becaus eit's not certain but it looks like he'll be joining up with Sleep Terror now that that drummer left. He'll do a fine job at it too.

RCA 08-28-2005 11:41 PM

If he's joining Sleep Terror, I shall not question his ability. :D

You're so lucky you got to see those bands, man. Nothing ever comes by here. :(

Dancin' Man 08-28-2005 11:46 PM

I had to drive 45 minutes to see them. Syracuse and Binghamton both have a lot of bands go through and I live about equidistant form each.

RCA 08-28-2005 11:50 PM

45 minutes isn't that bad compared to my 22-24 hours. :(

Apocalyptic Raids 08-28-2005 11:52 PM

 22 hours

RCA 08-28-2005 11:56 PM

Yep, quite unfortunate. :(

ROMGA

Apocalyptic Raids 08-28-2005 11:59 PM

ROMGA LOL

I only have to travel about 2 hours

RCA 08-29-2005 12:05 AM

It'd be cool if you could just ask a band to play in your backyard or something.

Apocalyptic Raids 08-29-2005 12:07 AM

Or even in your hometown. :(

Although I actually enjoy travelling down, its more of an adventure :D Blasting whatever band you are seeing down the highway \m/

Illmatic 08-29-2005 12:08 AM
It'd be cool if you could just ask a band to play in your backyard or something.
You ever see that show on MTV, "My Sweet 16", where the richest girls on the planet get their dad to pay bands to play at their 16th birthday?

So that's always an option if mommy and daddy have hundreds of thousands of dollars to spend.

Dancin' Man 08-29-2005 12:11 AM

I might go see Mare at the same place in 2 weeks. And I'm seeing the Fall of Troy the day before I'd go to see Mare.

RCA 08-29-2005 12:18 AM

I'm male, already 16, and not rich, but I'll take that into consideration if things somehow end up to meet the prerequisites, Ray. :p

Permanent Solution 08-29-2005 12:47 AM
Holy crap. Fall of Troy is my boyfriend's favorite band. That's so weird, I've NEVER seen them mentioned by anyone on these boards. I personally cannot stand them, ugh.

Where are you seeing them? Cause they're a local band here in Seattle and only really play shows on the west coast? I thought you lived on the east coast.
We had a discussion about them earlier in the Pop-Punk Discussion thread, actually.

Did Sleep Terror ever find a singer or a bassist? I saw them a long time ago play at a coffee shop and it was just a guitarist and drummer. Pretty crazy stuff though

Apocalyptic Raids 08-29-2005 03:18 AM

Curl Up and Dye is the name of a Beauty Salon in The Blues Brothers.
