And I live in the state where some other cool people were from, like Joshua Chamberlain. He kicked serious arse - he and the 20th Maine held their position at Little Round Top. For those of you who don't know, that was a significant post during the Battle of Gettysburg, and had the Confederates taked Little Round Top, they would've had a serious advantage of position over Union troops. But Chamberlain and his men of the 20th Maine held Little Round Top, throwing rocks and even charging down the heavily forested hill (twice) at the advancing troops as they ran out of ammo. His unit incured the least casualities of any unit, I believe.

He was right at the far left of the union line and fooled the rebels into surrendering out of shock when they were charged by bayonets after Chamberlain's men ran out of ammo, it's one of the ballsiest, brave moves in military history. It basically saved the Union's arse. They were force marched all night, and ran out of water. He realised if they were nearly done, so must the rebels be.

That's a cool song! I just read the lyrics, and that's awesome. Chamberlain was a great leader, and he is a good reason why the Union didn't lose.

I've got a picture of myself and my family at the (unfortunately) small monument when we visited Gettysburg... it's a pretty cool shot.

I'm thinking of going to my mate's new years party dressed up as something. Haven't decided yet and I can't go as a Ninja because I've already done that.

New Years will be pants this year for me, I've got two options to choose from:

1. gatecrash a party with some friends then leave at around 1.30am
2. stay at home and do nothing

number 1 is looking most likely to happen at the moment, we know the people having the party reasonably well but we've not been formally invited...

I've got the yearly hard drugs fest at my mates house.

I'll try and stick to drink and pot though.

I'm off to my cousins house for Loud Music and beer.
