"And now, a 'nice' rock and roll band; from Sheperds Bush London, The Who..."
Lunch998 will know where that one's from.:)
That's the intro to the Isle Of Wight Dvd, I believe. That show is fantastic. Anyone want to do another trivia session? |
Lunch998 - Love that concert. "Smmiile ya buggers!"
Yes trivia would be fun! |

Anyone want to do another trivia session?
Unless it's on AIM or MSN, yeah I'm game. |
"Smmiile ya buggers!"
God some English slang is fruity. :p |
^ indeed it is. I myself am Australian though. I love British rock bands though, with the possible exception of The Beatles.
|
White Album > Sgt. Peppers.
Just my opinion, folks.
I agree completely |
trivia's cool
|
White Album > Sgt. Peppers.
Just my opinion, folks.
ya i agree. it is a great album though. |
Sgt. Pepper seems over rated because it was so much more influential.
|
Sgt. Pepper seems over rated because it was so much more influential.
It's still a great album no doubt, there is not one song on there that I don't like.. but then again, I like all Beatles, CSN(Y), The Deads songs so :( |
i think i like it so much because it was the album that got me into the Beatles and because they tried to make all Sgt. Peppers completely different from all their earlier albums, it is not all the Beatles style, and i like the way they are on this album compared to their others.
|
Abbey Road and those compilation CDs got me on the Beatles(Red and Blue ones).
|
i recently got abbey road and i don't personaly see why people are always saying it is awesome, the first couple songs and true classics, but after that their are a lot of medicore songs with a few good ones.

I use to think the same thing. It actually took me about a week or so to get into each song. :p |

I disagree. The second half is much more creative and personally I enjoy it more, it's just plain better done than the first half. But the first half is good to, i like the albumas a whole. |

Same here. The beginning is great and all, but I love how after about track five or six, it all flows together. |
My personal favorites on Abbey Road go in chronological order.
Come Together, Something, Maxwell's, OH! Darling, Octopus's Garden, I Want You, Here Comes the Sun. But the whole album is brilliant IMO. |
Octopus's Garden
Best it gets :thumb: |
classic rock is awesome for guitarists, but being a drummer i find the fills a bit boring............
Keith Moon?
He sucks.
Tr00f. I can't decide if I like Nashville Skyline or not. |
Tr00f.
I can't decide if I like Nashville Skyline or not.
You know what album's really terrible? Tommy. God, what a stupid plot. Oh noes, the boy is deaf dumb and blind. |
I have to say ... old school rock never fails to excite me >=)
|
Tr00f.
I can't decide if I like Nashville Skyline or not.
It's a great album. Except it. |
The Who> The Beatles MYR, IMO at least.
|
Ringo Starr never had **** on Moon. Or any other drummer worth mentioning.
|

Barker* Therefore, no:). Would be hilarious if he was, Ginger would probably disown him  :p !
|
it was a joke toward the person who came in her saying there was no good classic rock drummers.
|
I reckon!
|
just checking.
You know what album's really terrible?
Tommy. God, what a stupid plot. Oh noes, the boy is deaf dumb and blind.
Yeah, wtf is a "pinball wizard?" |
He stands like a statue,
Becomes part of the machine. Feeling all the bumpers Always playing clean. He plays by intuition, The digit counters fall. That deaf dumb and blind kid Sure plays a mean pin ball ! |
Yeah, wtf is a "pinball wizard?"
some one who is good at pinball, then somehow forms his own cult? Tommy is a very confusing story. |
