Kage 12-30-2005 11:26 AM
I think I'm gonna try and find them today at Best Buy if I go. It's different for me to get them than it would be for you to get them, Kage, because I've not even seen either of the videos, so I actually have something to look forward to. :)
Of course, then. I've seen the videos and, as much as I love the Parabola one, I won't dish out the money for some jackasses' jokes about them. :p

I believe I saw them at Best Buy the other day, so I think they'll have them.

Moses 12-30-2005 11:29 AM

So Jake, did you get my email with those songs? I had uploaded everything and put it up and then pressed the back button and lost everything. I recovered some links and I still sent those but there were supposed to be about 8 more.

Moses 12-30-2005 12:34 PM

Why do I kill the thread? WTF!!

Darkness 12-30-2005 12:39 PM

God I love that.

Moses 12-30-2005 12:40 PM

Not funny....

And the thread was going pretty fast when I posted too.

There's like some kind of allegiance against me in this thread. WHY GOD WHY?!?!?!

Magicaltroll 12-30-2005 12:56 PM
Weren't we expecting the new album soon this time last year?

I find that strikingly funny.
Nice avatar.

What's your favorite album by them?

Well your post was directed to Dr. Jake, and him only.

Moses 12-30-2005 01:00 PM

Yeah, but it stopped everything that was going on. Grrr...

If anyone cares these are the bands that I sent him:

Wintersun
Cynic
Pain of Salvation

Bands that were originally supposed to be sent to him:

Pain of Salvation (more tracks)
Into Eternity
Protest the Hero
Wintersun
Cynic

Always changing, but right now its F#A#(infinity symbol). Such a dark album, but I love it.

Dr. Jake Destructo 12-30-2005 01:08 PM

I'm downloading them now. A friend sent me a couple 10 mb songs, so I'm just going to try to download everything while I'm out today. Thanks again for the songs. I can't wait to hear the PoS, they sound quite promising. :-D

Sorry for the late reply, but I was in the shower.

Syncratic 12-30-2005 01:18 PM

kurrpt 12-30-2005 01:22 PM

Syncratic 12-30-2005 01:46 PM

I'm in Cambria County...I un-rar-ed them, and it still doesn't work.

Moses 12-30-2005 01:55 PM

Do you have guitarpro software?

Syncratic 12-30-2005 01:58 PM

Yes, I do.

Moses 12-30-2005 02:03 PM

Okay, well I couldn't tell you what your problem is then.
Naaaaaaaah, we have more concrete proof now. That sticker on the DVD says spring 2006. :smoke:
Same thing happened with the Salival package, and it got it waaaaaaay wrong.

:(
Same thing happened with the Salival package, and it got it waaaaaaay wrong.
What did the Salival package say?

Darkness 12-30-2005 02:20 PM

The big news about this release is the sticker on the wrapper promising a new Tool album in "Spring 2006". Anyone around five years ago probably remembers a similar sticker on Salival, which predated Lateralus by a mere five months. Keep your fingers crossed. :)

From Toolshed.
What did the Salival package say?
It said Lateralus was going to be released sometime in 2000 or something as I recall. Got it wrong by at least six months.

Tool fans and Isis fans seem to go together, so I was wondering if anyone could send me a song or two by Isis. I want to check them out but I don't want to pay for an entire CD without hearing them at all first.

CockeyedMaverik 12-31-2005 12:27 AM

can any1 suggest a song. from lateralus(?). im a tool newbie but i just bought the cd. from the way things sound they don't really even have guitar a guitar solo.. what puts the cd so far up there in the greatest album anywho?

again ive only listened to it all the way through one time and i was playing poker so it doesn't really count.

Well just dont look at the guitar, what makes the album so great is the complex structures of the songs and the musicianship on the album. Songs to definitly check out are:

The Grudge
The Patient
Parabola
Lateralus
Reflection

CockeyedMaverik 12-31-2005 01:27 AM

let me just say, its not very often i get done listening to a cd and have the feeling that it was just a pleasure to have listened to it.

thanks remedy for a constructive comment, i don't get very many of those in these forums.
