they were waaaaay too loud, because the venue it was at's sound guy failed

and their singer sucks

he was doing mic check, and he was loud, but he was way raspy and strained, so he was like turn me up, and he did like 10 shrieks and kept asking the guy to turn him up until it sounded like he could do pterodactyl screams

so they then turned up the drummer's triggers and the guitars and bass to compensate, and it really hurt my ears and i had to go outside

and it sucked cause i wanted to hear their drummer just because he's the guy from black dahlia murder's first album :/

I saw them like 5 years ago opening for Enslaved. Back when they had a decent looking chick playing keys. That was all they had going for them. They don't even have that now.

I thought the keyboardist was p ugly.

There's a band from around here that labels themselves as "vegetarian black metal" played by a bunch of hipsters. It's your typical lame American black metal with super distorted vocals.

Their name is Gaarth.


So, just for poops and giggles I'm going to record two songs that sound like Beherit or Archgoat or something under the name Waayne. It'll be sick.

I'll upload it for the Grim Black Metal Composition Competition sometime this week.

My entry for the competition will be called Ewigen Krieg Der Verlorenen Seelen.
