I would kill someone, correction a few people for his original "distressed" jazz bass. Sux what he did with it. When he was in New York a few weeks before his death he simply left it in the middle of central park and walked away. Some homeless person out there probly has one of Jaco's basses in his shopping cart.

Hmm...playing Jaco's actual bass would be somewhat depressing for me. I mean...you KNOW the sound that can be brought out of it, and what kind of tool it's been used as... It seems like it would have it's only proper place in Jaco's hands.

I wouldnt play it as much as put it in a case above my bed and look at it everynight before I go to sleep.

I'd be perfectly content with that.

aw man , its the most comfortable bass ive ever played. its great , i was going to use it for school but the first ay i brought it , some faggot hit it with this trombone ( dont ask ) and it got a dent in it.

That sucks. My old teacher had one, I LOVED it, it really is comfortable; that's not lie.

Nope, but the drummer in my band just started at Guitar Center, so now I get gear AT COST. As I've learned from him, most items there are about 56-60% less than the sale price (NOT the list price) so I can hopefully score some obscenely cheap gear. :naughty:

Precisely. But there are a few items (Mesa Boogie) that don't get as much markup, and there are a few (PRS) that get even more. Like a $4,000 Dragon PRS (or whatever they're called) would be like $1,000.
