I really can't stand Lenny Kravitz. He's basically just a stereotyped image of a rockstar, with no music capabilities whatsoever...except for coming out with a catchy unoriginal song every five years just to keep himself within a few steps of the spotlight. If he wants to be successful, he's gotta change something. He can't keep making the same album his whole life....it may have worked with AC/DC, but they had talent and substance to back it up.

Amen. He is just trying to milk the "classic rock image".

lunch998 01-31-2005 09:13 PM

Goodbye, the final Cream album, has three live tracks and three studio tracks.

Jam2Me 01-31-2005 09:16 PM

Anybody here have the Layla Sessions by Derek and the Dominos?
Or anyone listened to it?

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 01-31-2005 09:17 PM

Thanks, lunch.

And AC/DC also had one hell of a live show. Something I doubt Kravitz can say.

I might go see their reunion concert at Royal Albert Hall in May, but it is unlikely.

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 01-31-2005 09:26 PM

I would love to see the reunion concert, but I'm stuck in the U.S.:(

Yea I am too, but my parents visited London and loved it, so they might want to go back.

The "cheap" seats at the Hall for the Cream shows are 700$/pair.

I'd say a lot of early Lenny Kravitz is actually quality stuff. His guitar playing wasn't bad either. "Are You Gonna Go My Way" is an awesome song.

thickasabrick 01-31-2005 09:30 PM

I'd wanna go, but I can't afford it. Hopefully someone just bootlegs it for all the poor fans out there.

edit- I don't mind some of Kravitz's earlier stuff, his hits were good...but if you listen to an entire album, it's not very original at all. And how were the shrooms?

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 01-31-2005 09:32 PM

Badmoon's back!

$700 a pair!! Now I have absolutely no chance.

Well I've been working my ass off for the chance to go, so I have the money now. With my luck I would go to the show in London and then Cream would decide to come to the U.S. and tour.

Badmoon is alive. We were worried about you earlier.

BillCosby 01-31-2005 09:33 PM

Hey Badmoon, what's your AIM?

EDIT: Post 4,444.

Well, I already have Endtroducing uploaded on yousendit, so I was just gonna give you the link.

Badmoon 01-31-2005 09:41 PM
I dunno who that is.

Does anyone know how Badmoon's shrooms went?
Well, the dumbass dealer didn't get them in. So we are going to do it at my friend's birthday party on Friday.
I have about 3800.

Badmoon was probably caught, he's grounded.
The ironic thing about that is I wasn't here today because I was getting high :p.
Well, I already have Endtroducing uploaded on yousendit, so I was just gonna give you the link.
Oh, cool. If I knew how to do it, I'd do that for you. Give me one more day.

lunch998 01-31-2005 09:43 PM

Shroom dealers are sketchy guys. I never believe that they are getting them until they actually have them.

Badmoon 01-31-2005 09:44 PM

^Well, the only thing more sketchier than shroom dealers are dealers who don't usually deal and have a hard time getting you the shrooms.

lunch998 01-31-2005 09:46 PM
^Well, the only thing more sketchier than shroom dealers are dealers who don't usually deal and have a hard time getting you the shrooms.
I was kind of including the people that claim they can get shrooms and then never do. Those people piss me off, that's why I never believe they have them unless it's on the person.

BillCosby 01-31-2005 09:51 PM

I'm guessing that means you want the link...?

Meh, here it is.
http://s26.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3QZK677R52RLV3U23CN8835ENV

It's compressed into a zip file, just so you know.

Ulysses 02-01-2005 06:14 AM

Shroom dealers that promise you a crop will be ready for the pickin' soon and then it fails because they didn't take enough care with it, and you were gearing up for some badarse tripping, which obviously can't happen meaning you have to wait, grow your own or find another dealer. :upset:

Well it's classic rock/shrooms so you're ok with classic rock.
