Spaceman Spiff 03-16-2007 12:09 PM

I might get drunk tonight. Maybe tomorrow, too.

Trevo 03-16-2007 12:09 PM

Oh in the xylophone shred thread?

Well, Ben, now it really seems like you won the leagues, congrats.

Me too, except it's a definite, not a maybe.

Yeah, in teh xylophone thread.

And thanks.

It's weird... I've been competing in the leagues for over a year now and am just starting to get somewhere. :p

Trevo 03-16-2007 12:13 PM

When did you get promoted to League 1?

BenJammin 03-16-2007 12:14 PM
When did you get promoted to League 1?

I started in League 2, and got bumped down, and fluctuated between League 2 and 3, although I got up to League 1 once, but got promptly voted out.

Trevo 03-16-2007 12:15 PM

And CofeeKiller hasn't been around.

BenJammin 03-16-2007 12:16 PM
And CofeeKiller hasn't been around.
Yeah. Otherwise, I'd definitely not be in League 1 right now.

Trevo 03-16-2007 12:18 PM

I found his myspce the other day, he's pretty insane and so is Havic.
I found his myspce the other day, he's pretty insane and so is Havic.
Pffbt, the stuff on CK's myspace doesn't even touch a lot of his old stuff (not to say the new stuff isn't good... because it really is).

He's definitely a huge influence on me.

How can I improve my two hand tapping?

Is anyone having trouble login in to their hotmail account?

BenJammin 03-16-2007 12:40 PM
Is anyone having trouble login in to their hotmail account?
Yeah. MSN/Hotmail is down.

BenJammin 03-16-2007 12:41 PM

Spiff, we should have a party for owning our SR506's for 2 years.

Pinhead13 03-16-2007 12:41 PM
Yeah. MSN/Hotmail is down.
Thanks, I thought I was the only one.
Thanks, I thought I was the only one.
Nope. It's a piss-off, because I'm waiting on a couple of e-mails.

Trevo 03-16-2007 12:44 PM

Really, that's why, damn I really needed to talk to someone and he's not answering his phone. But no messages waiting for me, already got my response about the Curbow.

"We Awoke To Grey Skies"

Just some ambient noodling. It's all atmosphere. Not meant to be the next great melodic piece. :p

It's a combination of listening to too much Set Fire To Flames, and Radiohead.

Trevo 03-16-2007 01:07 PM

I'll have a listen after I'm done reading this lesson.

BenJammin 03-16-2007 01:08 PM
I'll have a listen after I'm done reading this lesson.
It won't take you long to listen to. It's only, like, 1:35 long.

Trevo 03-16-2007 01:11 PM

Not bad, just a question what do you do to record?

Spaceman Spiff 03-16-2007 01:14 PM
Spiff, we should have a party for owning our SR506's for 2 years.
We sure should.

Really, it is a good bass, but it isn't my perfect bass. I love the thin neck.

BenJammin 03-16-2007 01:14 PM
Not bad, just a question what do you do to record?
I plug my bass into my ME-50B (somethines the RC-50, also, if I'm using that), and then into the Line In port on my computer.

It's not a perfect bass, but it's amazing for being a moderately inexpensive (if you're not me, and get shafted on the price) production bass.

The neck is definitely a huge plus. I told Chris to make the neck profile on my Stambaugh very thin.

Oh and you get all those ambient noises from the ME-50B...Also, how many tracks is it?

Thonk 03-16-2007 01:17 PM

I'm listening to the new song right now.

Trevo 03-16-2007 01:18 PM

Oh hello Thonk, how ya been?

Thonk 03-16-2007 01:20 PM

Pretty gooood.

How about you?

Trevo 03-16-2007 01:21 PM

I'm fine, almost done my march break though.

Pluperfect_Arson 03-16-2007 02:53 PM

There is a jazz festival going on at my school today, and I am carrying around my beater bass in its busted up case instead of my six string, seeing as it is in Beaverton.

Some little kid asked me if I played guitar, and it turns out that he plays bass, too.

Meh.

AG 03-16-2007 02:53 PM

What are the benefits of stringing specific strings through the body vs the bridges hooks?

My bridge can do either, so what would happen if say I strung my B and E on the bridge hooks (not through the body) and the rest of the strings through.

Efrim 03-16-2007 02:54 PM

Hi!

Through the body is supposed to give more sustain, I can never tell the difference.

Hello, Jesse!
