These kids come to the fu[SIZE=2]c[/SIZE]king shows to escape, and they get made fun of? What the hell is that? The Trenton scene is becoming more of a joke with every band and new Hot Topic item.

The scene here is full of fashioncore kids that have black hair with the front dyed pink. I was talking to a guy the other day who just started a 'hardcore' band, so I asked him what they sounded like and he said "Kind of Underoath-ish". :upset:

Luckier than me. My "scene" is myself. There are some kids that are pop-punk emo (Taking Back Sunday, Matchbook Romance etc), some harder mainstream (Green Day, Billy Talent, The Vines) and some metalheads.

what chu talkin bout, the jersey scene is good. We may not have as many shows as Buddy does, but we do have a fair amount.

We have a million shows here in Jersey. There is probably 5 or more shows in just the month of October I want to go to.

philly needs more straight-up hardcore bands. most of the stuff i know is all metalcore.

The NYC scene isn't much. I know two kids that like hardcore but there is no "scene" I know of. I have a bunch of friends that I go see pop punk bands with (Fall Out Boy, Punchline, TBS, etc. etc.), but they are almost all girls. Most of the kids that go to NYC shows live in CT, LI, and NJ.

I just moved here from Dallas, TX. and UC Irvine is like 5-10 minutes from the beach (Newport). It's a really good school too, they just added new dorms.
