Tanner - Ill Gotten Gains Boy's Life - Departures And Landfalls
well i'm giving em a chance anyway |
I'll support your bigboy choice...I'll even mend your failures with a few recommendations.
Check out that Tanner album, apparently quite an emo-infused post-hardcore subgenre hopping coolness type listen. |
i support you SCS, you and i got similar tastes  but so far this album is sounding pretty good.
here's a better one though: Bluetip - Polymer Dischord post-hardcore band but more fun than you'd expect. |
I've come across them, I had this 20years of Dischord Disc. One of the definately more musically "serious" groups on there. I've been suckered into the mind"blowing" homoeroticism of Shudder To Think, a group originally signed to Dischord. Might look up Polymer though
|
Bluetip is probably the most fun band on Dischord other than the dancey bands like Q and not U or STT
|
doubley posted, damn interbnet
|
H'ok I will get it, although it will take up to 2 weeks for it to cycle to my eardrums. I have about 50+ albums to get through still so I'll have to gauge my mood so as to hit them up sooner than later. h'wat about Nation Of Ulysses? kinda fun in a riled up white-boy propaganda sense.
|
oh yeah NOU is definitely fun too but they're pretending to be serious. Bluetip doesn't even try to hide it. songs are fun fun fun
|
Okay, sounds like I...like it already. I've been heading up the fun-themed indie/alt/post-type music....Thinking Feller's Union Local #282 are one I've been harboring as fun time music. If you're interested in the obscenely long and devious name then check out these two albums from them: Lovelyville, and Strangers From The Universe.
