did u jsut type in system of a down? or what? i need to hear that, sabbath rock!!
|
they sure do.
someone on this thread a while ago suggested Marmalade as a good SOAD song that isn't on any particular album. i put "artist: system of a down, title: marmalade" and it came up with a load of other songs that are albumless. and snowblind. |
just done it and heard it, amazing!:)
|
glad u like it, i did. good stuff.
|
do u know if "soad - shame" is suppose 2 ft. wu-tang clan?
|
@!MuDvAyNiAn!: yes. Awesome song, amirite?
dont call people noobs please, allthough you made a good point, their lack of posts in no way relates to their mental capacity, so don't insult it. :thumb:
I was calling him a noob on the basis of his post. I didn't even look at his post count before you mentioned it now. He's a noob at life.
has anyone heard their extra songs? like Defied you, Marijuana In Your Brain(spinny sh*t), Marmalade, Starlit Eyes, Storage and Temper? they own.
I have (or rather, had) a **lot** of SOAD B-sides. Temper kicks AASHCSSCHHH; so does Marmalade and Storage. There's others too, I can't remember. You realise however that a lot of their B-sides were later renamed and released on STA? |
they sure do.

Its cool I heard it ages ago but its still good.
|

anyway am off to bed, goodnight everyone..
dont compare it to the original; i heard it and thought it must have been a soad song called snowblind. its totally different, except for the chords. i ca respect it for more than a cover, ita so different. |
i gotta hear that. SOAD rock. \m/
|
I dunno about "shame" not to keen on it tbh. Tentative from mezmerize is an amzing song! I can't stop listenin 2 it
|
tbh?
and i didnt know tentative was on mezmerize..? well, its not on mine. |
i meant hypnotize lol. to be honest..:)
|
I still have yet to buy this album. Any good?
|
i love it. its got a couple of soft songs, but the others are great. i really enjoy Lonely Day, that's a soft one. but if you dont like daron's voice you wont like some songs, like Stealing Society.
i meant hypnotize lol. to be honest..:)
cooll cheers. |
its a decent album, not as good as toxicity, soad etc, but still pretty good. tentative might be my fav soad song at the moment
|
there hasn't been much publicity with Hypnotize... not like with mezmerize.
|
yea true. IMO i think mezmerize was the better out of the 2, i dont really listen to hypnotize much
|
Honestly, Mezmerize is shit compared to Hypnotize. They both aren't the best, Hypnotize just sucked less. I think they should have just released one CD. It would have definately kicked ass.
EDIT - You can't say ass? what the hell |
I think Mez/Hyp. was their best, but i don't like the reminesce of soldier side intro in the end of lonely day that they could've done without.
|
i think they are equally good albums, but in the same way they are both equally lacking in Serj's vocals.
|
Both albums were terrible.
SOAD as I've said many times is rather talentless. The only song I've ever liked was "Question!", that was a good song. |

SOAD as I've said many times is rather talentless. The only song I've ever liked was "Question!", that was a good song.
These days it's not about talent. Although most musicians prefer talent... anybody else just goes with what appeals to them. Which is I guess how it should be. I like SOAD, but I like all that style of music so yeah... The current mainstream music is proof that you don't need much talent to be successful. And Question! is a good song init? |
question! is an amazing song. probably because its serj singing in that one :p

In your opinion. and as for that, i don't know what the hell influenced it. Serj has unique vocal skills, the drumming certainly is not "talentless", and they guitar/bass owns. some of their riffs are incredible. [IMO] to say SOAD are talentless is mad, for me. especially when you have people like Prodigy making even more money from pressing a few buttons. |

I couldnt agree with you more! and i couldnt have said it any better myself |

Lol, i like soad, but prodigy is not "just to press some buttons" so be quite. |
im not into techno, but i am fairly educated in it. i know that Prodigy is full of extremely uncomplicated beats. so be *quiet

John's facial expressions are famous for being constantly foreboding and angry-looking, which together with his usual smart dress sense, make him look like a Russian Mafia member. Lead singer Serj Tankian was quoted in Kerrang magazine as always trying to make John crack a smile on stage, to which John replied that he had to make an extreme effort to keep a straight face and not get put off beat, which is sometimes not believed due to the fact that John is very rhythmically sound when it comes to his drum beats.
One night, when John was five years old, he woke up in the middle of the night and went to his parent's room out of fright. His parents allowed him to sleep in their bed, and soon after a bullet came through the window of John's room and hit his bed, where he would have been sleeping. Found these on wikipedia! |
Screw their new stuff, go self-titled and Toxicity. :thumb:
