also, since this is basically the community thread ill introduce myself- my names john wood, im from maryland right near dc, im 20. Been playing for 2 1/2 years, Im gonna major in music and education in college. I first started taking lessons last spring, where i took jazz percussion at montgomery college, a community college in montgomery county MD that i go to, and man it helped me so much. Since i first started focusing on technique, everything else fell into place and became so much easier.

My drumming style is funky/hard rock/jazzy, Im not good in terms of real good drummers, but I can make good beats and cool fills and people like jamming with me. I dont like metal drumming (usually, its too uptempo and doesnt change enough) or punk drumming (same deal,) My favorite drummers Bonham, favorite genre is classic rock, and generally im just awesome. What about you all?

A trolley would seem more fashionable, and less annoying, than your car. Sorry Powerstamp :upset:

SeasonOfTheMad 08-02-2005 06:25 PM

what kind of car you got? im driving a '92 oldzmobile cutlass sierra a.k.a. my 06 year old grandma's old car, and it sucks ***. The spedometer doesnt work, but besides that it runs so im happy.

Jezen 08-02-2005 06:26 PM

Billy Joe Armstrong of Green Day once said "Attack your instruments, don't let them attack you.."

Thats the main reason I think hes a complete prat.

For me, I try and take a sort of zen approach to my kit. It is part of me, I am part of it. It is like a martial art. Everything has to be performed with utmost precision.

one of the most addicting games i've ever played. i'm on level 32 right now, which is extremely difficult. (they're in one big square, i've tried for 10+ minutes to get it) but my friends just called, so i'm going out. someone try to beat me. i've got a screenshot i can put up later if no one believes me or anything. honor system, honor system.

-TheGlassPrison- 08-02-2005 08:36 PM
