To be fair, lots of the good ones like Neon Genesis Evangelion actually used professional interpreters to translate them for sale in America.
God, that was a great series. I gotta go buy the DVDs some time and get the last few issues of the manga. |
Hey Alex, you wouldn't be the same Alex that wrote reviews on the Metal Observer website, would you?
|
Nope. The closest thing I write to reviews are all my spotlights.
|
This other Alex writes well so I thought it might be you, ah well never mind.
|
Technically, it's reading more manga, watching more anime. Watching a comic book doesn't really work. :p
or Hentai... :p |
hehe some crazy Tobias Sammet pictures :D

He's climbing the side stage lights-tower thingy in a flowery vest/blouse. Who is this guy? I'm not to good with names.

Edguy's vocalist :thumb:

he looks like a slightly gay cowboy...
Edguy own |
I couldn't see half the pictures because I was getting some bullshit message about how the "document contains errors." Why can't a computer error message ever just tell you what the problem is without all the indecipherable techno-jargon or osme vague assertion to an error that leaves you scratching your head at its nebulous ambiguity?
On a more positive note, Edguy fucking rule. |
he looks like a slightly gay cowboy...
Edguy own
He does look quite queer, but then again they play teh power metal. Edguy is a weird band name too, where did they get that. |
Alex, It's because your computer hates you...
mine didn't work all morning because it wouldn't show any internet pages, I had to let the router "rest" for 20 mins even though it had been off all night  |
He does look quite queer, but then again they play teh power metal.
Edguy is a weird band name too, where did they get that.
I remember alex said something about it in his edguy FA, that they were mostly joke band at first and didnt take it too seriously so they gave themselves a joke name... Can you see the pics here? Apparently, it's some kind of inside joke. They never clarified what it means. But even today they still have the jokester attitude going. Tobias wrote in his bio on the band's webpage, "A long, long, long, well a very long time ago (but not so very super long) my tranquil home village was hit by a terrifying storm. Trees were cut down, cars were blown through the air, and all of the sudden the whole village was without electricity. No TV, no Playstation, no carousels, no nothing...no light and terrible boredom.......nine months later little Tobi saw the light of the world." He's currently working on an autobiography for the band entitled, "They Are Rockstars but Who Cares?"
Can you see the pics here? I'm pretty sure that's the same outfit he wore in the video for Lavatory Love Machine. |
haha...or the bloke from strapping young lad...
|
Ah Edguy, weird people for somewhat weird music. Haven't heard anything pre- Hellfire club. Is it worth checking out?
|
Definately. I could upload Vain Glory Opera, the title track, to give you an idea of what that era in their music sounded like.
|
I personally like Mandrake a bit better than VGO. The songs flow better and have better melodies, to me anyway.

I have that one from your Spotlight on them, but thanks anyway. I found it in deep depths of the forum. |
I'm pretty sure he also uploaded Pharaoh too, so here's Tears of a Mandrake:

Thanks, didn't have that one yet. I can hear its the same band but it does sound different. Its like the singer is more on the background on the older stuff and it doesn't sound as epic yet.
|
anyone know kamelot? i just litened to them on rhapsody and there great i like every song by them so far even though they are kinda cheesy.

Just started getting into power metal, I'm off to see Dragonforce next month.
I've heard Iced Earth are good, I'll give them a listen. |

As promised - some Tarot from Suffer Our Pleasures - I know Steerpike did an FA on them and included this track, but I'm going to do them in order, and this is track 1. Anyway, there may be some folk who didn't get to download anything from Steepike's FA, if so, they'll be quite pleased.
I've been informed that my other Tarot album, Stigmata, is on its way and I'll upload stuff from it as soon as I get it hxxp://s44.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1LEA9RTZIX4EG22ROEDNL1F1YJ The song is "I Rule" and it rocks, bigtime. |
