Where's this in?
Where's this in?
Canada; Southern Ontario.

trev913 08-28-2005 12:02 PM

My school systems have varied, as I've been in two.

My first:
Elementary: K-8
High: 9-12

The one I'm in now...
Elementary: K-5
Middle: 6-8
High: 9-12

Jom 08-28-2005 12:10 PM

My current permanent residence:

Elementary school: K-5
Middle school: 6-8
High school: 9-12

My old permanent residence:

Elementary: K-6
Junior high: 7-9
High school: 10-12

I remember because when my football team played against my old city, their freshman team was comprised of the junior high school ninth graders. I mean, they had to go to the high school to get their uniforms, locker room area, and so on, but they didn't attend high school until tenth grade... and that's what I would have done had I not moved, heh.

I do not know what the area around my uni's school thing is, though.

Don't change it; you have a good name.

Don't get a name change for the sake of getting a name change. If you can't think of a good name, then don't change it.

Why 'two cents' ?

Illmatic 08-28-2005 12:41 PM
Why 'two cents' ?
You've never heard that expression?

To say "that's my two cents" is just saying "that's my opinion"

I don't know how it originated, but that's what it is.

Lord Abortion 08-28-2005 01:02 PM

Hey all...

so I am in a remarkably good mood this eve...

I'm getting Final Fantasy XI sorted with the benefit of my Mum's credit card...
Man united won 2-0 and England scraped a win in the cricket, despite outclassing Australia all through the test, some brilliance from Warne and Lee made it very close indeed...

Huber 08-28-2005 01:20 PM

The school system where I live is...

K-6 for Elementary
7-8 for Middle School
9-12 for High School

Middle doesn't count for crap here. It's so easy, it's just a place to put kids for two years.

repcak 08-28-2005 01:30 PM

in my country (austria)
5-10 elementary
10-14 middle school
15-18 - gymnasium/high school
>18 - university

Josh 08-28-2005 01:35 PM

English school system: (Probably already posted, but hey, i'm bored)

5 - 11: Primary School
12 - 16: Secondary School
17 - 18: 6th form
18+ : University

and then some areas like where i live use a different system (might be Scottish):
5 - 8 : First school
9 - 12 : Middle school
13 - 16 : High school
17 - 18 : 6th form college, or 6th form at high school.
18+ : University.

I know what it means, I just wondered where it came from. Maybe because 2 cents isn't much as a donation, but you wanted to make your input anyway, etc. hmm

EDIT: Soon, I'm gonna make a list of things for the Americans to answer, I think. I wonder if TV is right.

I don't think you would have to feel embarrassed, your username is Sliptallica. And if you'd have had cd's, you could play them on your computer and it would register it.

Embarassed? No it's just that I normally just plug my iPod into my computer speakers, so the results wouldn't be to accurate.

The CD thing will work though. I should have thought of that before.

I always do that, especially when I buy 2 cds at a time. I always end up playing the hell out of one, and giving the other just a once-through. I've been going back in my cd library, and listening to the "once-throughs" while driving. Right now, I have Relationship in Command by At the Drive-in in my cd player. It's been growing on me. I don't like it as much as Vaya, but it's still not a bad listen.
