I'm still studying and live with my folks.
I'll finish my study and in 1,5 years probabaly I'll leave the house and get an appartment. Or I will travel, each way, I'll be out in less then two years. So weird. :-\ It's nice to live on your own though, I really enjoyed my freedom in Norway. |
starbursts come with these new retro flavors and they're very bad
|
Yeah, it's pretty sweet living all by yourself, but sometimes it can be a little lonely.
|

That's why student rooms are pretty nice. I had had 9 floormates in Norway, so that was nice. But I like to be on my own, so I don't think I'd be bothered by the lonely part. np: Evoken - Mare Erythraeum |
I also like to be alone, but still...
|
Yeah, I can see your point.
I don't think I'll move very far once I move out. I like the place where I live now. |
I live about 20 km from where I grew up, but it's a little tedious to get to my parents by public transport.
|
I'm only a few miles from my parents house. It only takes 10 minutes to get there. I stayed in the area as well because i like the area.
|
My area is nice, lots of nature, but also enough stores and other stuff.
|

About the same here. I don't like the country or the city enough to go one way or another. |
Living by yourself is nice for awhile but after a year or two you do get quite lonely.
Its better to just have a roommate who is so non-existent that it's like you live alone because at least it still feels like someone else is around sometimes though. |

Well I mean it's better to have that than to actually be alone. Much as I hate people I can admit that it is in fact better to have live with a person you get along with well than to live alone.
|
That would be my problem, I think. To actually get along with people for an extended amount of time.
|
Are you so dificult to get along with?
You seem like a very laid back guy as far as I know you from MX that is. :-\ |
It depends, really. Most of the time I'm like a non-smoking The Dude, but every once in awhile I get quite moody and introverted. Plus with my luck I would probably get a total moron for a roommate.
|
Yeah, it really depends on who you get as a roommate.
It would be better to have floormates, like I had in Norway. We only shared the big kitchen with ten people and besides that I had everything for myself. A shower, a toilet, sink. Being a The Dude like person is pretty sweet.I can relate to that too, but also to the introvert part you speak of. |

Haha, looks like a great party.
Impressive pipe btw. And yes, it's good that you removed the naked picture. :-\ |

It seems okay, as long as the floormates do their assigned stuff, like doing the dishes and such. |

So I just watched 28 Days Later for the first time last night... it blew me away, it was such an incredible movie. I downloaded the soundtrack right when I got home and I'm listening through it for the first time now. It's almost as equally amazing as the movie was.

Exactly. I'd get so pissed if I should have to cook in a pigbarn kitchen, because they refuse to clean. Not that I'm all that big on cleaning, but I want it to be ok clean, super clean is not necesary. 28 Day Later is an awesome movie, indeed!
i cannot wait until they will get 28 weeks later for renting. @Peter: Nadja is fukking intense... wow... reminds me a little bit at "Heat" the movie and the soundtrack! btw. if you don't know the movie! watch it and get the soundtrack! i think you will like it! |

NP: John Murphy- I Promised Them Women
It is really an awesome movie, one of my favorites, within the genre and as a whole. The atmosphere and camerawork is incredible. The addition of GY!BE on the soundtrack is a nice touch, even though they edited the song like crazy. I've never heard of that movie, I shall check it out. :) np: Earthless - Flower Travelin' Man |
its one of my favourite movies out there: Al Pacino and Robert Deniro and Val Kilmer at their best performance!
its a thriller a la good cop versus bad criminal, but it critisizes social life a lot and it has one of the best shooting scenes in the whole history of films (imo). its a very melancholic, dark, brutal film... |

It doesn't actually appear on the soundtrack, but they put it in the movie. I agree with the camerawork and atmosphere. Some of the angles they pull off are incredible, and the shots of London completely empty are breathtaking. http://youtube.com/watch?v=yntMhBFHSXA ^^^song is amazing. it's featured in Days and Weeks. |
while i was at school, we had a vienna-week in the 7th grade.
it was the time, when 28 days later was in the cinema, so i saw it some 4-5years ago... its still intense, everytime i see it. |

One of the best shots imo is the shot at the flat, where are the colourful cups and buckets are standing on the rooftop while the sky is gray and threatening. And I actually found deserted London to be more impressive then deserted NY in I Am Legend. Overal 28DL > I Am Legend imo. |
sex to Nadja - Thaumogenesis at 33min must be great :D

Yeah, 28DL > IAL That shot at the flat is incredible, but I like all the shots when he's walking through London completely alone and it's basically a wasteland, it invokes such an amazing atmosphere. |
Kacper:
Indeed. I've never tried it though. My gf isn't really into this kind of stuff. I was already laying in bed once and she also came to bed and she asked, what is this? Sounds like some factory machine spinning, not really music. I was like:  But then I turned it off, put a Sabbath CD on adn had awesome sex. So it wasn't too bad. Haha.
Yeah, the shots of deserted London were a lot more impressive than the shots of deserted New York, even though I found both to be incredible. I love that. Incredibly well done. |
The whole movie is incredibly well done, though not particularly frightening. Actually, it's not really frightening when you first watch it but the feeling of the movie sticks with you for a while. I like the scene in Jim's parents house when he's looking at pictures on his refrigerator and those two Infecteds attack him, that quick camera zoom is so cool.
EDIT: if anyone wants me to upload the soundtrack, just ask. it's really really incredible music whether you've seen the movie or not (though that helps) |
I agree on the not being really scary part.
But it's tense and brooding though. The feeling of desolation and existensialism is the main force in the movie for me, not so much the shock and scare value. |

you analyze things really good - i'm impressed; i agree with this: its the main reason why its such a good zombie-films, cause it lacks of the typical violent scenes... its just realistic and therefore you get goose-bumps, cause you realize that it really can get true ... someday. |

My stupid friends just like to be scared by movies, and I hate how the cover of the DVD hypes it all up to be amazingly scary like: "the most frightening film since The Exorcist"
EDIT: if anyone wants me to upload the soundtrack, just ask. it's really really incredible music whether you've seen the movie or not (though that helps)
|

The apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic mindset is a big inspiration for me and yeah, it throws you back into reality. It might not happen with 'zombie' like beings. But with all the wars, violence and intolerance I think a apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic situation is likely to happen sometime. thanks for uploading it;
i use emule, so i will download it myself, but if there are some more ppl and you are uploading it for them, i will be glad if you add me to the list though. maybe you'll be faster than emule :) repcak@gmx.at |
In The House - In A Heartbeat is a pretty fantastic song. It's the song that slowly builds up during the climax of the movie when all hell breaks loose in the house.
