In spanish it's more or less the same. Pickles are Pepinillos which is a diminutive as you might know.

I had a bad day today. :(
This morning I put on my shirt, and the button fell off.
Then, I opened the fridge and the handle fell off, crushing my toe.
...and earlier, I turned on the my old crappy TV, and the nob fell off.

I'm afraid to go to the bathroom.
