I'm only 15, so I have coke in pubs if I ever go for meals at pubs near my house with my family.
I have to do that also, because I'm 14.

I usually have Irn Bru though.

w00tage to the max.

And Chris, I was only jesting. I am not one to encourage under-age drinking.

Hey Butler, how good are you at pool? Just since you mention it. I've been playing loads recently, and am actually getting semi-decent, considering I was once the World's Worst Player.
OMG drinking Coke at the pub? You phags.

Having said that, I'm slightly worried over my own alcohol consumption levels. Tonight I have had 2 pints of Carling before work, 2 pints after, a bottle of Bud that I accidentally opened when the guy didn't want it, a bottle of Beck's on the walk home, and am now on my 3rd bottle of Export since getting home.

The worrying thing is, this is perfectly normal for a day when I have to be up for work the next morning. Now, where's that bottle o'wine...?
Pfft, im happy enough to know that i go to the pub everyweek, and if i go without loads of money, i wont be gagging for a pint and stuff.

In other words, i dont need to drink at a pub to have a good time...

I encourage under-age drinking, if your 17 its not too bad i think....

Anyway, im pretty decent at pool when i consentrate and play properly, but at the pub i just piss about because its so cheep. I just hit it as hard as i can, i have a record of getting the white ball of the table at least once every night. Usualy on most games. tonight i was reaching quite far for a shot and had to get up quick before the white hit me, and i smacked my head real hard on the low hanging over head light :upset:

Yeah, I think I'd piss about if it was 20p a game. At my pub it's 50, which is enough to encourage fairly sensible play. Last night I got a 6 ball break, which impressed everyone mightily. Also, after about 8 pints I managed the 6-and-in challenge, where you take the cue ball and an empty table, and have to try to hit it so that it bounces off all 6 cushions before going into a pocket. Much harder than it sounds...

Its about 5 minutes walk from my Aunties in Merica, and its a sat photo. Its actually quite a large area of land

Ill have to try that game one day, but its always busy, theres lines of 10,15 20p cions waiting to play.

Today i was so pissed off, people get me to brake because i hit it so hard, so i did, and only 2 balls moved from the pack, i was like "WTF happend there"

Also, there was me and some girl i know, verses one of my mates, and he was losing by about 3 balls, but somehow got back. We was on the black, the girl took the shot, but it just woobled at the jaws of the pocket, and stood in the middle. So he obviously gloated, then he poted the black, but put no backspin on the white and got that in, so we won, his face was priceless.

Ah, I've done that many a time. Not anymore though - I've learned how to use spin for positional gain.

To the extent that, a while ago, I was able to not only hold my own against one of York's top snooker players (I joke not), but eventually beat him. God damn, I rock!

Dead Star 08-11-2005 06:57 PM

Awesome, i love using spin.

I used a bit well today, i poted my ball in the pocket, which was over the pocket with the othe guys near that too. So i put a bit of side spin on and cleared it.

one problem i have with spin is that i always judge were to hit the ball wrong, then i slice the ball, or go under it and chip it up.

No, I used to. I've made a concentrated effort of late to get better. It seems to be working...

As does this huge joint I've just rolled. :smoke:

What you want to do, right, is use lots of chalk, don't go too far from centre (unless you have a really thin cue tip), and above all, make sure you keep the cue straight as you strike it. You can't go far wrong then.

Dead Star 08-11-2005 07:02 PM

I am the man at long pots.

I also like using what I call "The Jammy Bastard Shot"

The game is LIFE for some people. I know some people who played it 24 hours straight since they had it midnight the day before...

It's really good.

Dead Star 08-11-2005 07:20 PM

But isnt it like the new version of say FIFA, or Tiger Woods.

I.E. Just an addition to last years.

The story is easily the second best story of any game I've ever played (Final Fantasy VII in first).

The graphics made my jaw drop.

Shear attention to detail (You can listerally shoot through the rings of tiny chain. Holy mother of ****) made me want to make me touch myself.

The game play....bleh. Sneaking around from patch of grass to patch of grass just isn't fun to me. And the combat wasn't entertaining enough to really keep me interested (although some bossfights were cool).

I played the game for the story alone, and I still enjoyed the crap out of it.
