So a new album is coming out!
Do you all think it will be what the others have been?
All that, and more. :thumb: |
I think these two videos will be on Mini DVDs. Just to save money.
/Guess |
Maybe, this way they can get more expensive plum sauce...
Maybe, this way they can get more expensive plum sauce...
Haha that was great
Guys, check this out:
http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=45484 Looks like a April/May release after all.
All right, well, I eagerly await it. |
At least that's something more concrete. I don't have a problem with it.
|
The posts on that site were... wow.
A few of my favorites:
Another new album??? They just release that Ghost Reveries album cot too long ago.

tool were cool like ten+ years ago.their **** is soo ****ing stale. a perfect cirlce was wayyy over played.especially in the strip clubs.new tool album better be mind boggling good or im gonna do worst thing I can think of which is bash them on blabbermouth every single day.im soooo evil.....

TOOL is über overrated... The live show was lame just some tv screens with wierd videos..... I left TOOL to see Godsmack instead. Everything about TOOL and APC is that it is super boring.
We have a winner!!! Oh and this is good news. Not great news, because it'll probably be pushed back, because they're dicks like that. |
I don't think the commentaries will be worth it, I mean the videos go for 6 minutes and 10 minutes, we won't get much chatter out of the boys.
But I eagerly await the remixes, have you heard Pigs of the Roman Empire? It's Lustmord with The Melvins (when they had Adam Jones... he might still be with them, actually). Brilliance. |

So, last night I re-watched an interview with Maynard that I have on my laptop, and found it surprising that he referred to Nirvana as one of their peers (alongside RATM, Soundgarden etc). I found it interesting. Thoughts?

I think he added so much to The Melvins' sound, he made it so much more trippy and atmospheric. But to each his own. Good point. |

http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=45484 Looks like a April/May release after all.
TOOL singer Maynard James Keenan is preparing to release the first wines from his own personal vineyard. Three 2004 red wine blends will debut in the spring of 2006, with more information available at caduceus.org. |
Isis will be the Summer 06 opener unless something changes fast.

Hey there Sinner's and Enlightened Ones alike,
For those who are fans TOOL (granted), Alex Grey and of Daily Grail, there is a news update: Those out there who enjoyed the Alex Grey piece in the most recent issue of Sub Rosa, and who like that teeny-boppin' boy band known as TOOL, might be interested in a new book from Alex Grey scheduled for June 2006. The short blurb for the book includes this: "Tool celebrates the fusion of two of the top talents in the worlds of art and music." And if you like TOOL and art combined, then you're surely a person of high tastes and don't mind combining the legendary band with some wine as well. And what better wine to drink when listening to Mister Keenan's dulcet tones than this little drop? I'm sure our good friend Blair over at Toolband.com has been telling us about this for months now, but knowing him he probably wrapped it in some esoteric biliteral cipher known only to a few enlightened initiates (and their drinking buddies, waitresses, and really anybody who would listen to them at 3am after a long night). Just something else to wet appetites till the Live DVD and new album come out.. Prying Open my Third Eye, ~daniel |
New update on Toolband. Nothing big, just some screenshots of the two DVD menus.
|
Hm, as lame as it might sound, I'm considering buying those DVD's for those menus, haha

.......
That would fucking rule. |
That's what I heard from a "trustworthy" messageboard.

My sister in law said she'd buy those for me for my birthday/christmas (there on the same day). |
Well, just finished reading on another board that:
"the remixes are interesting. the schism one is very cool. digipak packaging". Also found out that the 'Schism' remix is suppose to be about 20mins long while 'Parabola' is about 15mins. And! I also read who the commentary guests are suppose to be. Not sure if everyone on here wants me to just put out the names or you'd rather wait and find out when you get the dvds. |

Same here, or more likely, I suspect that at least one person will buy them for me this christmas. |

I thought I'd bump this, and drop in and say hi.
I've really deserted this site as of lately. I've had a lot of personal issues in my life going on, with everything ranging from love, confusion, divorce, moving, as of last night finally believing in God, and so on. Its been the complete best and worst year of my life. ^Why I told you that? I don't know.... Anyways, its Christmas break! Woohooo!!! Exams=over. I didn't study for any of them, and I think the outcome will be just fine. I haven't been listening to Tool for quite some time, and actually probably wont listen to them til I hear the new album. I've actually started to take a liking in From First to Last, some emo and indie stuff, etc... Oh, and The Fall of Troy is like woooaaahhh. I'm starting to get my band together. Not sure what we'll sound like though. I was thinking metal before, but now, I want a good mix of metal, post hardcore, lots of melody, breakdowns, acoustic interludes, and the such. Who knows where this may be going. |

Ok, well this is what I read:
"'Schism' guest commentary = David Yow" "'Parabola' guest commentary = Jello Biafra" |

Jello as in Green jello (the Band)?
Forgive my ignorance but who is David Yow? |
