One Groovin Clown 10-11-2006 04:08 PM

It's the 10,000 days tour shirt.
The one with the Alex Grey artwork on the front and the tour listings on the back.
It's red, if that helps :P
I'll take a picture when i get home.

misunderstood 10-12-2006 12:00 AM

So i jus stumbled across this old picture of Danny Carey and thought i'd come share with you guys here (thread is kinda slow anyway). I'd never seen it before..he looks so....young, heh.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-12-2006 12:04 AM

Haha, that was during the first phase of the trucker hat trend. Wow.

ghettoeddo 10-12-2006 12:05 AM

i just thought that i would share that i was listening to jimmy.

and that is a loooong note he holds at the end.

One Groovin Clown 10-12-2006 10:29 AM

I've always loved jimmy.
It seems to have the best grasp on an atmosphere.
We'll every song has an atmosphere, but Jimmy seems to be the deepest.

QFT.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-12-2006 10:37 AM

I agree, quite fucking true.

:p

Jimmy does have a great atmosphere. My favorite part is probably when Justin stomps on his distortion pedal...So heavy.

Huber 10-12-2006 08:36 PM

Puscifer.com opens tomorrow. I hope it's uber badass and if were lucky has a new song.

edit: bah it's open already

One Groovin Clown 10-12-2006 11:59 PM

Alot of the music selection on the Puscifier site is compilations that feature Maynard. APC, Deftones, and even Muhammed My Friend.

Other than that, it's all merchandise.

magicbus 10-13-2006 10:54 AM

So what exactly is Puscifier? I remember seeing them on Mr. Show.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-13-2006 12:41 PM

Maynard's new project..It's kind of a solo deal, but an ex-member of NIN is also in on it. It's kind of an industrial/goth sound, at least from the two songs I've heard.

magicbus 10-13-2006 01:00 PM

Ok so it's an actual band? I thought it was just a name he was putting misc. songs under.

Here's that Mr. Show clip I was talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zA6Z0LGqkkA

Maynard and Adam come on at 3:35. It actually says Puscifer in there...

I'm so god damn angry with toolarmy right now. I joined like, 6 months ago. They said it could take two months too ship the patches and stickers and such. I didn't care much about that stuff and I've just been using the site and whatever like usual and figured since I'd used the site and all I had been charged. I got an e-mail last week saying that the stuff had finally shipped, 4 months late. I was like "Cool, I guess it's cool I'm finally getting the stuff". When I got the e-mail I was completely broke. Having something like 40 cents total in my checking account. Today I found out that they also charged me the money for the fan club thing and now I have over 150 dollars in overdraft fees asnd I'm totally ****ed on bills now.

I COULD ****ING KILL TOOLARMY RIGHT NOW

Sounds like you got fvcked over, they sent the stuff late and charged you a stupid amount of money for it. I dont think its healthy for fan sites to be so money orientated.

magicbus 10-15-2006 01:19 AM

So nobody cares about old Maynard videos? Too bad.

Static 10-15-2006 01:25 AM

So I was coming home from a jam today, and I flip on the radio, and it's Rosetta Stoned. I listen through, and they played the entire song on one of the most popular hard rock station (107.3 WAAF.) Has anyone else heard Rosetta on the radio?

I don't know, I was just a bit taken back.

Spiritofmosa 10-15-2006 08:13 AM

hey guys i jsut realised a awsome tool influenced local band.. and they are female fronted http://www.myspace.com/lunarin

! That's extremely bizzare, what time was this at? I hear The Pot on the radio often, but that's only obvious since it is their newest single...I've heard Triad on the radio as well, but only in the background as the Dj was talking. Odd.

Static 10-16-2006 09:04 PM

Hmm, about 4:30. I hear The Pot on the radio all the time. I really don't care for that song.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-16-2006 09:36 PM

*gasp*

You don't like The Pot!?

Static 10-17-2006 02:33 PM

Eh, it's all right. I just hear it too much on the radio. And only a few parts I find are very awesome. The Pot<Jambi<Wings. Yum.

UpperDecker 10-17-2006 05:04 PM
Eh, it's all right. I just hear it too much on the radio. And only a few parts I find are very awesome. The Pot<Jambi<Wings. Yum.
How in this world can you believe The Pot and Jambi are greater than Wings??>???? Wings really is the most touching thing i've ever heard, ever.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-17-2006 05:21 PM

ITT: We don't understand comparative symbols

Ironically, George, I think the opposite of what you said.

misunderstood 10-17-2006 06:35 PM

wait, isn't he saying that 'Wings' is better or greater than both 'Jambi' and 'The Pot'?

Kage 10-17-2006 06:37 PM

Yes. Usually we use > instead of < so it was a little confusing.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-17-2006 07:14 PM

I ordered my PODxt Live yesterday, so within a week or two, I ought to be recording great gobs of stuff including *zomg* Tool covers!

Meatplow 10-17-2006 07:19 PM

I have to listen to the new album, whats everyone's opinion on it now that theres been a fair bit of time to let it sink in?

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-17-2006 07:21 PM

I'd give it a 4.5. It could have contained better fillers and more songs, but the material on it is top notch.

Daven 10-17-2006 08:13 PM

^^Agreed.

There are some incredible songs in it.

magicbus 10-17-2006 08:16 PM

Yea I think 10kD is pretty much awesome. All the songs are good. Could've used a better filler than Lipan Conjuring though. Does anybody know what that's about yet?

I usually just don't listen to Vignti Tres either...

Lost Keys works good though. Cool one.

Daven 10-17-2006 08:20 PM

Viginti Tres and Lipan Conjuring are crappy fillers. I really thought they wouldnt do a filler in this album. I guess i was wrong.

Kage 10-17-2006 08:26 PM

It's gotten to the point where I can't stand the Aenima fillers. I used to like them, but now they just deter me from listening to the album.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-17-2006 08:31 PM

Ænima has my favorite fillers. I think Die Eier Von Satan and Intermission are far better than any other Tool fillers.

Daven 10-17-2006 08:31 PM

I love Lateralus' fillers.

magicbus 10-17-2006 08:31 PM

I like most of the Aenima fillers. Negative Ions takes a minute to start up, but the electricity sounds cool. Useful Idiot sounds cool cause it's not too long and the increasing volume leads into 46 & 2 nicely. Intermission always reminds me of the Holy Grail and it also leads into Jimmy nicely. And Cesaro Summability is kinda weird. The only filler I skip sometimes.

EDIT: I never thought of De Eir Von Satan as filler. Really cool song though.

And the Lateralus ones are all good. Except I usually don't listen to Faaip because its at the end anyways.

Huber 10-17-2006 08:35 PM

The only fillers I ever listen to on AEnima now are Useful Idiot, Die Eir Von Satan and (-)Ions. The rest I skip on impulse.

Daven 10-17-2006 08:36 PM

Faiip De Oiad is cool because its at the end.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-17-2006 08:57 PM

It's pretty nightmarish if you wake up in the middle of it though. I did that once and thought I was dying. :p

magicbus 10-17-2006 08:58 PM

Same here. I didn't know what it was at first. Waking up to something you don't know is really weird. I always think I found something new on the album, then I realize I've never heard it or not enough to recognize it.

Dr. Jake Destructo 10-17-2006 11:30 PM

I remember Bartender telling me about when he first listened to The Gaping Lotus Experience. He went to grab a glass of water or something after finishing Opiate, and when he came back to his computer all he heard billowing from his computer was "SATAN SATAN!"
