Wow, today I listened to Tool for the first time in a while. Felt pretty good but I don't think I'll listen to it again for a while.
Wow, today I listened to Tool for the first time in a while. Felt pretty good but I don't think I'll listen to it again for a while.
Why? |
I've overdone in the past and isn't as interesting as it used to be. Before I was captivated because I could just sit there and listen to the song and just watch life flow by. As I listened to it about a million times the effect began to fade. I can't go back and analyze things like I used to either because I've already done that for just about every song.
|
How did those reels insist it was going to be released January 3rd?
Sorry, my post wasn't all that clear. The audio reels didn't actually give that date, but the labels on the front did indicate Tool as the "producer". I suspect that's why Adam took them down. |

Thats what was happening to me, hence the beginning of my Tool fast all those months ago. |
Surprisingly enough, I've also ceased a little bit in the amount of Tool I listen to on a daily basis. According to my last.fm, I'v only listened to about 20 Tool tracks in the last few weeks.
|
Compared to before, I listen to very little too. I might give an album a spin every week or so, but that's about it. Probably has something to do with my recent fascination with Prog Metal (DT, Pagan's mind, Symphony X)
Dose any one know who did the cover art for Schism and Parabol/Parabola. The designs are amazen, was thinkn Alex Grey cuz of the intricice but its not realy his style or is it that Eli Morgan guy, anyone any ideas?
There's pictures of the cover art now? Must see! Hmm, my listening of Tool has suddenly sparked up again lately... listening to Swamp Song right now. Love it. EDIT: Oh I saw the cover art... rather unToolish, don't you think? Awesome though. They're based on designs by Alex Grey but he didn't actually do them. The font is just not Alex Grey. And I'm looking forward to the remixes by Lustmord, he's a legend. |
So according to toolband.com, the cd is just about done, I can see a early 1006 release easily.
|
Early 1006 and even Medieval Europe would have had it by now. :(

oh shi You've cracked the secret code that MJK personally told me when I saw him at the movies the other day. The truth is, the cd is already out. It has been for a millenia. Only the truly enlightened can find it by following the path laid out in the Lateralus art book. |
Yeah. I've known about this for a while guys.
Since we're confessing everything here, I might as well tell you that I am actually also the real Michelangelo. Well, not the real Sistine Chapel Michelangelo, but the one in my avatar of course. |
dude...donatello was the best turtle

Exactly as I expected. They're just putting the finishing touches on it now. My prediction: Feburary 2006 release date. Then again, how much time is there usually between when an album is finished and when it is released? |
A February release date would be right around my birthday. Talk about the most wicked birthday present ever. :p
And no, Donatello was a nerd with a broomhandle for a weapon. |
I still believe it will be out for my birthday, December 25th. :D
.. :upset: |
I just want it to come out soon.

Lateralus was finished recording on January 23rd, and released 5 months later. However, I suspect the conflict with Volcano had something to do with that. I find it curious that Maynard said "once the album is released and the holidays subsided"...in that order. If the album is to be released in, say, February, wouldn't he have said "once the holidays are over and the album is released". January 3rd is looking more possible to me. |

By the way, does anyone know what's up with MJK's website? It changed from that haiku to a weird ant looking creature and below it, it says: "Buyer Beware" Interesting... |
well, I like tool, you have to be in the mood to listen to a perfect circle, But I think Maynard is a brilliant vocalist

I did see that "Buyer Beware" thing as well. I just thought this site was a tease all on its own. I figured that maybe Maynard bought the domain so no one else would. But who knows, now it opens as Puscifer's page. Maybe it's their future homepage. |

Haha you guys are nuts. Leonardo is unrivalled in majestci cool-osity, with his two supersamurai swords, and he's blue. And his namesake is probably the greatest thinker of all time. (Da Vinci, duh)

I'll agree with most of that, save for I think Raphael was the coolest. |
I'd say the best would have been splinter. He was the backbone of their clan. Raised the turtles, showed them ninja skills and even in his old and fragile state, can still kick WAY more ass then all of the turtles combined.
