thickasabrick 01-30-2005 04:06 PM

What's Hawks rock the Park?

slowhand 01-30-2005 05:58 PM

Guys, I'm thinking of buying Pink Floyd's 'Piper at the Gates of Dawn,' and I was wondering, how's the guitar work on that one? In other words, how's Barrett with a guitar?

Illmatic 01-30-2005 06:01 PM

Today's purchases:

CSNY - Deja Vu
Queen - A Night at the Opera
Jimi Hendrix - Live at the Fillmore
Bob Dylan/The Band - Before the Flood

:thumb:

slowhand 01-30-2005 06:03 PM

Deja Vu is an excellent album. I wonder why I haven't bought it yet... Maybe I'll steal it from my friend...

Illmatic 01-30-2005 06:03 PM

I haven't listened to Deja Vu yet...I actually haven't listened to any of 'em yet.

slowhand 01-30-2005 06:09 PM

I was amazed when I heard Deja Vu. I think that Neil Young should have stayed with CSN...

Get it. It's one of the best albums by Pink Floyd and one of the best ever.
Syd's guitar work is classic. :thumb:

slowhand 01-30-2005 06:39 PM

Does it have good solos on it?

Johnny B. Good 01-30-2005 06:41 PM

Very good solos. Syd is a musical genius.
The album might take a little while to get into but not too long.

slowhand 01-30-2005 07:00 PM

Good, thanks.

Broken Arrow 01-30-2005 08:01 PM
What's Hawks rock the Park?
The Hawk-London's classic rock station
The Park-A grassy open space
Rocks-(Verb) to rock

The Classic Rock concert that is 3 days long and rocks.

PATGOD doesn't have that great of solos but It's really really good.

Skavenger 01-30-2005 08:45 PM

Young is probably my favorite artist, but I like the sound of the CSN harmonies w/o Young. it doesn't get much better than "Carry On" or "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes"

lunch998 01-30-2005 08:51 PM

Yea, the CSN s/t titled is really a great album.

RockAndRoll 01-30-2005 08:55 PM

lunch998 01-30-2005 09:12 PM

I don't care for Thin Lizzy that much, but I'm glad you got a good album.
